It isn’t weird that it’s hard to meet obj 248 in battle as no one wants to play it.
In comparison to t34 this tank is just rubbish. It has comparable mobility, weaker armor, weaker gun (despite fast reload), worse gun depression, and it hasn’t 50 cal against light armored vehicles.
There is no reason, why those two tanks are on the same battle rating.
Unlikely, IS-2 firepower on 1/2.5th the reload works pretty well.
That fast reload is main benefit the 248 has over it’s comtemporary heavies at the tier. The T34 in particular is saddled with a massively long reload on a gun that can only fire solid shot, meaning there’s a good chance you’ll need two shots on many tanks.
The 248 both gets nearly double the shots per minute, as well as APHE, making each shot much more likely to be lethal. This combined with it’s excellent speed and reactive mobility makes it much more flexible at close range brawling, since you’re much harder to be pushed and can more easily whip your tank around to angle against whatever you’re fighting.
The optical zoom of object 248 is dogshit too compare to T34, the only reason I play 6.7 is the Object 268 lol
I think 6.0 is better,Its turret can even be penetrated by M24
I quite like it.Good reload, bounces shots.I play in a 6.7 line up fine.Like anything put it in a 7.7 and its redundant, that is a game issue not a vehicle issue.
I am not saying that something is wrong with obj248 cos I like playing it on down tier very much. But if we look into 6.7 there is plenty of much better tanks than it, when on 6.3 we have many comparable ones.
Of course there is no option of fully balancing every machine as there would be always one better than the others but there shouldn’t be a situation when your tank is becoming useless on full up tier. If it’s too good on full-downtiers let’s block it as Gajin did a few times, that this tank can’t get a full-downtier. And everyone will be happy players with tanks on 5.3 and players who own obj 248.
I found it was basically an IS2 with a better reload.yeah, even though I supoose its actually an IS 1 with a better reload.
