Am I missing something here? did they change the Nuke warning time?
Heads it’s a bug, tails it’s a feature.
Well there you go, working as intended.
Player flew low, it only starts when they ‘take-off’.
It’s a known thing.
Last 5 I’ve had now only have sound happen when the plane is 3-5 seconds from the middle of the map
As I said, they’ve stayed low… You only get the ‘take-off’ reward when you actually get over 100ft or something. That’s what it bases on.
It’s not a bug like Miragen ‘joked’ towards.
I mean it’s not really a joke when I genuinely don’t know what are bugs and what are features… I made a bug report on the German 7.62 mm MG being unable to destroy a specific fence on the Alaska map whilst other MGs, like 7.7mm ones are able to do so.
Working as intended somehow.
Being able to avoid triggering ‘take off’ and gain an advantage by circumventing the nuke alert is not how it should be, but it’s not a bug but a feature as they somehow still haven’t designed it to trigger based on distance + altitude or time in air.
The siren won’t go off unless the plane has gained “take off” which is reaching [x] altitude. They’re encouraged to stay on the ground to avoid SPAA and fighters, so they’ll sometimes never reach that height.
That, is just your opinion…
However, as shown, we know how it triggers. You just wanted to throw the coin-flip bug/feature joke in there to be funny…
And you come back with that technical mention and long form response to that actual info being reflected, because ‘reasons’.
It’s not really to be funny but as to reflect the state of the game and how a bug or feature is a genuine coin toss.
Think it’s pretty reasonable to assume that the sirens are supposed to be triggered and people be made aware of the nuke being called in, especially when these mechanics have been in place for the last decade and was never intended for it to be used like this and it’s just piggy backing on this feature and clearly that has it’s flaws.
Sounds like you’re backpedaling.
Radar height is a thing, and if it ain’t detected, it ain’t gonna have a siren started.
Sounds like you’re backpedaling.
How am I backpedaling going from comparing it to a coin toss to comparing it to a coin toss?
Radar height is a thing, and if it ain’t detected, it ain’t gonna have a siren started.
What radar? There is no radar, you’re trying to justify it as some sort of mechanic when it’s just a 10 year old feature about taking off that had no importance, now tied to an important game ending mechanic and not working as it should.
You didn’t say anything more than making the joke, and now you’re saying you’re comparing it…
Come on… The guy was looking for help and an explanation, and no doubt you knew what the reason was…
I am indeed validating the reason on why it may not be any sort of unintentional thing compared to being unexaplained.
But that’s just because you’re wanting to debate it…
Over this…
Seriously.
You didn’t say anything more than making the joke, and now you’re saying you’re comparing it…
The joke was the comparison.
Come on… The guy was looking for help and an explanation
And no one has the answer, nobody knows if it’s intended to work like this, so a coin toss is as good as it’s going to get, I think it should be one way, you think it should be another, toss a coin.
We all know what causes it.
After all, even Vamilad knew…
First time I heard about what ‘causes it’ as to my understanding the sirens went off the moment you spawned in the plane, and considering the game isn’t like ‘’ stay low to avoid detection’’ or any other indication it’s an intended mechanic it seems to me that it it’s not intended.
Shhh, you’re not going to change my opinion on you making that joke at the cost of not giving the player the information they were wanting/needing, rather than leaning to bug calling.
The fact that there are people who know how this works currently, and it’s been discussed on the forum prior about how it comes to be that the siren comes out late, it’s clear you weren’t helping the player in the slightest.
That’s what the point I was making was about, and the fact you chose to throw the meme/joke up, and just lol on out.
Shhh, you’re not going to change my opinion on you making that joke at the cost of not giving the player the information they were wanting/needing, rather than leaning to bug calling.
No one has that information, you just know how people are taking advantage of the current system, not if that is a bug or if that is intended behavior, and nothing hints at the latter so we’re just making guesses.
It was never about whether it’s intentional or not, it’s that we KNOW WHY it activated late.
Your want to lean to it being about whether or not it was a bug or not is irregardless even because you didn’t even mention why it happened, so you didn’t even give ANY information about it in the slightest.
You’re just trying to validate why you posted.
I really don’t need validation to post anything lol.
You’re trying to validate it throughout this back and forth though, that’s the thing. It’s not about you wanting validation…
It’s a plain out joke, at the expense of Gaijin, and it wasn’t anything to aid the user in the slightest…
Vamilad even produced a straight up response, in the exact ilk as mine.
You’re having issue with having that pointed out, and you got that like for your troubles.
It, was a joke, not a comparison… You called it a comparison because you got called out about it.
