I should be able to hear the siren, j out, spawn in a fighter, and have a chance of reaching you. That alone adds 20 seconds to the time to spawn in a plane, assuming I can.
If you spawn at 2000m, you can trade the altitude in for speed. By doing that, it becomes impossible for me to reach you before you hit the airfield- a task already difficult as is- and therefore, the whole point of having you spawn in a plane is negated, and having a chance to counter you, is negated.
Yes, fighters may be faster, but if you spawn at altitude, there is no chance for them to catch up. They spawn at a similar speed to you, at a similar distance, with the only difference being altitude. Assuming I had to J out and spawn in to counter you (a fair assumption given most people do not spawn a nuke without checking if their is air cover), I’ve lost 20 seconds, so that altitude turned to speed is my only chance to catch you. And even then, that’s assuming everything goes to plan- not accounting for map size, terrain, etc.
I have only seen a handful of nukes get shot down. I have only had maybe 2-3 of mine get shot down.
I usually just stay low and use terrain where possible and i can get to the battlefield.
Better air spawn would probably have to be at the edge of the map at no more than 3km. Even then, they would need to mark the bomber for at least a few seconds. Cloud cover is very strong for nukes since they dont have to worry about seeing a target.
Oof, that was painful to read. Are you OK op? Seems like you’re being mishandled… But I agree, make them bad boys spawn at height, remove siren alert, and remove enemy planes. Fixed.
most people who killed my nuke is already on battlefield above tanks so it doesnt really matter
even currently plane who spawn at the same time as nuke cant catch the nuke
spawning nuke at height is really just to make already on battlefield enemy plane use a little bit of effort to climb
I once climbed to 5km altitude, take years to reach the battlefield and the enemy fighters failed to locate me lol then once I reached the middle of the battlefield I find myself can’t drop the nuke, and choose to dive down until I see the message to drop bomb, I don’t know I would get this lucky the next time it happens again, the reason I choose to climb because there was enemy 2-3 fighters and my team has like 3 players left, the enemy has 10.
As I avoid the BR range above 8.0. Are there still B-29, Canberra and Tu aircraft as nuke carriers up to BR range 12?
If so, I’m definitely in favour of having aircraft adapted to the circumstances in the game. What about the Vulcan, B-52 (old variants)? Beautiful aircraft.
So you are complaining about being shot down in a nuke when you knew their were enemy planes up?
That’s childish. You sent yourself to deal voluntarily and are comparing about it. Ridiculous.
That simply isn’t true. It just takes effort to reach the nuke- using WEP and diving gives you a chance to catch it, which as of now is a quite fair system
Again- you spawned the nuke in a poor circumstance, putting yourself VOLUNTARILY in that position. You cannot complain when all you did was do this to yourself.
This would be like me complaining that my heavy tank is weak and needs a buff, when the hull time (pun intended) I intentionally had my hull side on to the enemy negating my armor.
Haha, you got me mate, you got me. I thought this would be a funny scenario. A death ray just blapping mleming you out of the sky to make way for ze nuke.
You didn’t counter anything you just kinda called us names and then said “I don’t like what you have to say so I’m not listening”
Plus, as you said, you lose regardless. Clearly if you are loosing bad enough a nuke is your only option, and they have planes in the sky, you were going to lose anyway. It’s not like by having your nuke shot down they have drastically changed the outcome of the battle. Unlike having your nuke spawn at 2000m and flying into the battlefield straight away, which is clearly both what you want and what you expect unrealistically
You didn’t. You also however spoke nothing on my counterpoint- you were already losing. Getting shot down did not drastically change the outcome of the battle. Unlike the nuke. Which, had you spawned at altitude, above the battlefield, would have been uncounterable. Making it an unfair loss for the team already whopping your behind because they wouldn’t be able to counter one players great performance over all of their good ones.
