To be fair, I have successfully countered nukes a few times without already being in an aircraft, both props and jets. though both of those times the second I heard the siren I immediately Jd out of my tank and spawned in the fighter.
IIRC both kills resulted in a win for our team too, wiping 2500sp out just like that is often a game changer
That is an amazing thing to hear happen. I feel most players wouldn’t abandon their tank in order to try to make an intercept like that. Glad you could make a power play that knocked out a good player from the game.
Yeah, the way I saw it was J out and lose the tank SP but potentially save the game, or lose anyway when he drops the nuke in which case the lost SP doesnt matter.
The current system works well. If you stay below a certain alt, the siren never triggers and they wont know. And as others have said, the nuke is not supposed to be a “i win” button.
if you say “certain” i assume you dont know high it is even if you know asking b29 to hug the ground is stupid
i just say it at least need to spawn as high as fighter, preferably 2000-4000
people work hard for nuke then anyone who want to kill need to work as hard
I looked at the bug reports and didnt see any that are labeling it as a bug. You could make a report if you think it is a bug.
And i sometimes get city maps when i want to use my ferdi. Gotta do what you can.
It is resonable. With cloudy weather, the bomber would spawn in the clouds and be hidden. All you would have to do and stay in the clouds and spam the space bar until it lets you drop
this thread has 100 replies to it, and you have yet to give a single reason why it should, while having completely ignored anyones counter arguments with quite valid reasoning as to why it shouldnt.
“no u” is not a valid counter point.
give me a fair and detailed argument as to why they should have their spawn altitudes increased, and how doing so would be an improvement to gameplay while backing up your reasoning. And then counter the arguments by people who have already made detailed arguments against it with details about how in your opinion, the current system is worse than your proposed system for gameplay.
This is how debates and discussions work.
If you cannot do that, then its fair to say that you really don’t have a counter argument and are just whingeing for no reason, meaning that this thread can be closed as it is pointless.
why? because literally anything else is spawn at 1000-2000m
wouldnt it logical to let it spawn at the same spot? spawning nuke on AF is literally just unfairness
it’s literally in the post
im asking for fair treatment and you reject the idea, like wtf is wrong with you rejecting fair play.
then i just assume you are weirdo or clown and treat you as one by not taking you serious at all
I’m not sure if someone already mentioned this, but the permission to drop is dependant on the physical location of the plane to the playing area, so whether you are at 100m-5000m altitude doesn’t make a difference when you can drop it.
Its not fair. Its an instant win mechanic. It needs to have a fair amount of counter play.
Because it speeds up its time to get to the battlefield which means you get even less time - to try and intercept it. I.E less counter play, I.E bad for gameplay. giant OP instant win mechanics are almost always terrible for gameplay
he shouldn’t get to end the game for free just because he got a bunch of kills. Its not fair. It never will be fair. It should always have counter play or be removed from the game.
I myself have witnessed dozens of nukes in the meantime. I’ve managed to get one four times and throw it twice. The other two times there wasn’t enough time.
On the other hand, I was only able to intercept a nuke twice. It’s not always possible to intercept the nuke.
If you get a Nuke, you have to make sure that it reaches the target. In professional circles, this is called going the extra mile.
Otherwise, we can leave the whole flying thing alone and as soon as a player has the SP, the nuke is automatically dropped and everything is over. But that would take the spice out of the whole thing.
Note: The way it’s ‘discussed’ here is very reminiscent of a conversation with a child who desperately wants the lollipop or chewing gum while you’re standing at the till.
An objective discussion looks different. It gives the impression that there is a demand here to change a game mechanic that works because someone feels ‘disadvantaged’. Soon we’ll start talking about whether everyone should have the right to a nuke, regardless of whether they have enough SP or not. Because everyone is a winner …
Losing is part of the game. There was a time when you thought about why you lost and then worked on yourself. Today, everyone just wants to tweak the rules to make it easier for them.
Joking aside (I’m looking forward to the escalation and am prepared to bear the consequences): I demand a Nuke for my fighter aircraft. It identifies itself as a bomber and only wants to be referred to as such from now on. Its pronouns are B and 17 …
I would say it might be closer to THAT kid in a board game. The rules are fine until they lose then the rules are suddenly not fair and we need to play with different rules.
