the fix you are talking about is making it more like simulator battles specifically air sim battles where i personally have lost with close to 50 kills because the enemy did objectives well bombed bases airfields convoys…perfect mode its just not as rewarding and expensive because repairing your plane cost more than the sl you make in a plane thats not a premium plane…and ignored by the devs…i need you to remember this mode is not an idea GAIJIN CAME UP WITH…its nuclear option but in warthunder…they have all the answers they need…its a new game mode yes but not a new idea…

USSR SEAD is way easier because the OSAs outrange US short range SAMs and because the MiG-23MLD is so obscenely faster than the F-4E that it can bomb toss the long range SAMs perfectly safely if it runs up from the far airfield. It’s comically easy to destroy all the Hawk sites, even the Patriot sites if you have enough time and/or work with someone else. It’s not like that with the F-4E against BUKs and S300s.

till today, Apr.8th, The freaking gaijin cant hide its greed to money anymore, they just cannot tolerate any chance that a player can achive their goal with ease.
while AA is already unexpectedly good at intercepting all kinds of msl including SEAD msl, they now buff AA even more to shoot down players, no one can live around front line for 2-3 mins, not to say rushing to anywhere deeper, nuke mode become a sh*t hole as they wish.
i know u just want our money, stop pretending ur balancing the game.

This is not nuclear option really, people call it that because its the closest example. this gamemode more or less is putting forth the idea that gaijin has been trying and failing to implement since the inception of this game, long before nuclear option lol. They tried to make this shit back in 2013 with actual real battles going on that players would participate in. That game got washed away years ago by what air rb currently is. Sim use to be not all that dissimilar to what rb looked like, gaijin is attempting to re imagine what air rb used to be, and they’ve been working on this for years at this point ive watched them add most of this stuff in the dev files. but yeah it nuke part is obviously inspired by nuclear thunder. im focusing on treating this gamemode like it will eventually become war thunder, because it WILL eventually become war thunder.

yes, which is why I think they should revert/fix the osas firing through the ground, I haven’t noticed any difference between nuking in the mig phantom or su24. I think gaijin buffed the sams to stop the pvp lane happening, They need to revert that change and not do any of the balance suggestions people are putting forth because they have already fixed the root cause of that pvp lane. now that its fixed the existence of that buff is no longer needed and gaijin can remove the band aid. I just think people aren’t understanding that it is a Band-Aid and has been fixed.

I am betting that within the next couple of games the sams will be nerfed, because the root problem they were trying to solve has been fixed. They actually are trying to balance the game, sams being good was that, and they have realized it was a misstep and given us increased rewards instead.

And it’s funny seeing some shills saying it’s a “skill” issue, when in reality the AA is overbuffed, scores are nerfed, the map is impossible to traverse because of no natural cover against AAs, ground attack aircraft is useless since it’s countermeasures don’t work and ordinance get intercepted and even if they do hit they do no damage, so CAS is impossible
The only reason for such game design is GREED, devs should be ashamed of themselves, I ain’t ever supporting them again and I am sure many players were turned away from WT due to the mode being cancer as well

Works fine for me because I don’t focus exclusively on air kills

Few thing to add to the event:

  1. Add Sidewinders only loadout for F-4E.
  2. ARM missiles for F-4E as it is a historic platform or to A10. A7 is very slow bus and A6 can’t carry any bombs or AGM. Su25 and Su24 can mix ARM and AGM which is not fair.

I’m playing a match that took me an hour of waiting. the HARMS are not detecting the OSAs and it’s already causing unnecessary frustration with 2 deaths within the first few minutes.

And why Can’t I take off with a full load of bombs in an A7? Died 2 just trying to take off. The Devs really do hate the players.

Now I’m close to 800,000 silver lost with this event.

Nope, the Russian ARMs off the Su-25s are shot down by Rolands in flight and are thus ineffective. I have seen this many times…it’s factually what happens to them.

You can deny this problem if you’d like–but it’ll just get players to shun the mode and concept…not a wise play. The SPAAs need nerfs and they’re AI–who cares if they are made proper (nerfed)?

You can still do air to air, you can even do air to air+SEAD

It’s not considering I got more points than people with air kills exclusively with SEAD

First time I’ve been this disappointed with Gaijin to type out something about it. After this last update, it has legit ruined the game mode. I already put probably close to 24 hours into grinding for the B-52 and the Tu-95 for this past week or so, just for them to make it even more difficult when I’m already not the greatest of players. AND the update happens the day before the last challenge, which you need to get the planes. They had no reason to nerf the spawn points for player-to-player kills, since I think that actually requires skill to do so. The SAMS, on the other hand, did not get nerfed AT ALL. I really hope people complain about this enough that Gaijin will actually do something and change it for the players who would actually like to have fun in the game. After all, when they changed the tech tree a couple years back and it got review bomed something did happen.

Its enough to finish a star in ~2 games. This event is the best thing to happen to WT air coupled with the most generous vehicle event gaijin has ever added to the game and people are genuinely complaining about it, and I can’t figure out why.

The event is fun, the score requirement for the vehicles is basically nothing (previous score events have been 30k or even 40k score), and gaijin is actually pushing themselves and putting effort into the game, and people are still complaining?

I get some of the complaints because the AA can be very annoying, but its still way easier than most WT events because you can actually get the star in 1-2 games, had this been another ARB/GRB event everyone would have to play a billion matches to get the stars.
Overall the message to get from this and some of the complaints is that thank god the people here aren’t responsible for “balancing” the event because we’d just end up with ARB 2

I dont fault people for fair or constructive criticism, but the majority of what I’ve read today has just been straight up whining.

Revert 80% of the changes and remove the MiG-29 9-13 and F-15A and this mode is absolutely perfect. No reason high capacity IRCCM slingers should be in this event.

Easy and quick to learn, and its fun and gives decent score, so you should still easily get your event planes :)

They did, people were just suicide rushing down the middle to rush the strat nukes to win. It was a horrible gameplay loop.

They don’t need nerfs (besides doubling depot respawn times maybe), people largely just dont know how to handle them yet.
