Well I’ve been playing longer so 🤷🏽‍♂️ the trees here are at 28 meters
In all other maps except the desert map they are 50-60 meters and are much more prone to being invisible.

This event is by and far the most popular event gaijin has ever done. It’s also a testing event.
I hate tanks, but yes, you guys are definitely due for an event.

so the rolands killing me is normal? How dumb is this?

99% it would be dead if there were no rewards

In the first minutes of the battle, the Reds are already circling over our airfields. Our SPAA is simply a backdrop.

They do that in normal battles too. If the target is still getting “painted” by another radar they will still track, even if your plane’s radar isn’t tracking anymore, or even after you die. This is realistic, they don’t have a data link, they don’t “know” that it isn’t your plane’s radar any more.

I have the F-4S, have seen it plenty of times. You can even sometimes pop off multiple AIM-7F’s at multiple targets and have them all hit, “as if” they were data linked missiles. I’ve even had up to 4 hit and destroy 4 different targets simultaneously. All depends on how many other radars are present and painting the targets other than yours. And in this event in the mid field furball there is very often enough other radars active to make this possible.

The only thing I’m not sure of is if the friendly ground radars can enable this effect. But it is 100% normal when there are other friendly air units painting the targets from the appropriate direction for your AIM-7F’s to see and utilize.

I think this mode would work better with all forms of vehicles structured in different kinds of battles. The AI units with full damage models shows that tanks could be used by players (and I would assume naval). A true combined arms mode with actual escalation, where winning battles in one place would actually mean something over destroying preset targets.

Aside from that the current mode would benefit from increase rewards and SP gain from destroying ground units instead of mindlessly PVPing to get 2500 SP.

Very helpful in wiping out patriots

For some reason Patriot sites tend to not launch at enemy players above the frontline airfields compared to the S-300s. Another problem I’ve noticed is the US AA systems are typically in worse terrain positions than the Russian ones (and they have less range overall).

Do you have CCRP setup? Have you used CCRP before? If not check out my quick and dirty guide post: Nuclear Thunder! - #3528 by SilentTracker

You go right ahead and keep suicide nuke bombing 👍 Keep wasting your spawn points, lmao 🤣

I’m not but ccip lets you fly low and keeps you alive better than ccrp.

Also thanks for sharing those maps they’re very helpful

I’d argue a change to the gamemode would be forcing players to knock out all frontline airfields and AI units before attacking the main base. Also giving access to the Tu-95 and B-52 with regular bombloads to do high altitude strikes would be nice. It forces players to actually cooperate and focus on a larger goal than just trying to be the fastest to 2500 SP.

Adding onto this, having the large nuke be available for smaller strikes instead of only reserving it for the main airfield could make it more interesting.

Whatever works for each player 👍 I greatly prefer CCRP so I can get the nuke exactly where I want it, especially using medium nukes on airbases were a slight miss can leave the airbase not destroyed.

Yw bro, happy hunting 🍻

Just joined the match that lasted whopping 1 min 13 seconds, gaijin really should block the joining after few minutes.
