with 3 a2a kills and 2 a2g kills i got more rp and sl in 30 mins, the gamemode still makes a2a give more score, rp and sl than playing the gamemode
I mean… 2S6s are intercepting TOW missiles from the Ai. To say they’re cracked out is an understatement
if F117 stealth is actually modeled it would fit but it has no chaff, flares or rwr so its kinda defenseless
You also have to keep in mind, you would be dropping from what should be a dead zone, and the 2s6 cant see the f-117 if your high enough, this was tested on sim battles where no markers could be seen. In either case stealth is a potential benefit to the blue side, that would help even the odds if implemented correctly. Please dont try to argue that it’ll be usless. Its only somewhat usless in the current state
It is, its just the enganement ranges normally in game that dont support it
Dang
it still has no flares so any long range or short range ir like r73, r27et (i think its et) would just eat it, it’s honestly useless but the stealth could give an advantage if they made BLUEFOR spaa useful and shoot down ppl instead of it shooting everything else but people, so there isnt su30sm2s camping at 11km alt slinging r77-1s and r27ets at the poor nighthawk
I can confirm its much easier to kill the S300, feels pretty good actually
The main thing is, i dont want you guys to just argue that its usless because it could be a potential good thing, a game master asked if it would be an interesting add, if it could work. This is an actual avenue to getting stealth added in full and would benefit the balance. So correcting the issues of stealth in game or the ai would be the better move, than to dissuade from adding it to begin with
Again, if implemented correctly it would be possible but as of right now they have no deadzones. The AA see’s everything that’s flying at all times and are hitting anything at any angle. Gaijin would need to implement those limitations but they currently do not.
Thats just a matter of team work and protection, thr f-117 is a bomber, dont fly it in constedted areas, (spawn at the main base) and most jets in game can detect the f-117 from like 10-30km away, thats still something worthwhile
Honestly, and coming from someone who’s been playing since 2013, I doubt Gaijin would model stealth properly as that would make Russian ground harder to play. Imagine doing Ground Battles and here comes a glide bomb that you can’t detect on radar. Granted, it would balance out the difference in tech/doctrine (where US uses stealth to get weapons in while Russia relies on brute speed) and I would personally love it… I just doubt Gaijin would do that.
Yeah none of the blue side AA actually shoot until the enemy is within 5km of an airfield and under 1km of altitude.
I can only imagine how bad it’s going to be with helicopters there’s just going to be Ka-52’s spamming vikhirs at players taking off whilst being ignored by the blue side AA.
Yes, my point is make what your saying the headline, not the “dont add it” push for it to be added, and then corrected. We gotta take it in steps
Remember though, the Longbow can’t get AGM-114Rs as that would be imbalanced and would get smoked having to pop up to hit a target.
This s9mrwhat happens in ground sim at f-117’s bracket already, and it works very well. And in normal geound battles, the f-117 isint getting enough altitude for it to be effective at the ranges in game. Its also only got 2 bombs, so its never gonna be game breaking
its 1970s stealth against 2010 AESA/PESA radar but still, the f117 would have a higher survival rate if BLUEFOR spaa shot those pesky su30sm2s camping 11km up shooting everything down that has a heart beat
Sorry, was talking about things like the JSOW in that case. The F117 still shows up on radar though and IRST can track it no issue. Given how Ai SPAA have blatent super powers when compared to the player controlled version, I don’t think it would help in this case.
When did I say “don’t add it” I want everything that could be added to get added where possible.
Nuclear Escalation could be a great way of getting many features and aircraft that wouldn’t work in the current gamemodes but that could/would work here.
But as it stands Gaijin seems to be letting this opportunity slip away from them by doing what seems to be the bare minimum.
For jsows, most planes only carry a max of 4, and the gps glide bombs, as opposed to laser guidance. They still wouldnt be game breaking, and it wouldn’t be like you just cant see them on radar, it would be like the night hawk where it would just have. Amuch shorter intercept window because it doesnt shoe up on radar until its fairly close(shows up at a specific range or so)
