No there was nothing substantial in it. I read the whole thing and I think I’ve been pretty fair in here.
There was, so I will assume you’ve not understood then.

No that part is completely true if it moves up it moves up my feelings are nonconsequential in the matter but we won’t know until something like this happens
Shoot I don’t even have the m1 or kvt

Yes, that’s right. And the hypothetical won’t even occur in the first place unless gaijin sees a need for it. The fact that it hasn’t received it and hasn’t moved in BR just now would indicate it is performing within their accepted tolerance already for the BR.
You seem to be getting it a bit now.
But at the same time you also don’t know that adding the m833 would increase the performance enough to warrant a br increase unless it was happened even if it did happen and the m1 saw crazy performance increase out of the m833 they could easily quickly release a new balance patch
Which is why I mentioned that the fact that gaijin has not yet added the shell and not moved the vehicle for such a long period of time despite being a commonly played vehicle indicates it is currently performing within their expectations and doesn’t need it.
If in the hypothetical they do add it there’s a good chance it will come with an increase in BR at the same time of introduction as occurs with most vehicles that receive improved shells. Of course if the performance was lower than they anticipated after this would result in it moving downwards again.
Thank you
Frankly everything would be much simpler if the statistics were made publicly available, unfortunately that is likely never going to happen.
If they did make them public people will probably cry about their stuff they would find more stuff to cry about
Tbh this just solidifies the M1 not needing M833. It’s already better armored and more mobile than the Leo 2, giving it a shell that is within 10mm of pen at 60° seems egregious. It doesn’t need an equivalent shell AND a faster reload than a tank it already beats in other regards.
It “needs” it because it would be more correct than it’s first shell
By that argument, the Leo2s get DM33 and go to 11 probably. Abrams gets the 833 and goes to 11 as well. The 121s get m95 and go to BR hell? I argue for historical accuracy as well, but the BR system would not be kind to those changes in this case.
It already has 774 and (just my opinion) leo2a4 should have dm33
Changed it to 833. My bad.
: / the sep variants Turret armor is rated 900+ mm of protection for kinetic rounds the Chemical protection is even able to stop Hellfire Missiles and AGMs, gaijin based every single Abrams in this game off export variants, and none of those were anywhere near the U.S Army standards even then. Even the M1A2s turret was immune to the BMP-2Ms current ATGM round in this game when it was made, that ATGM can’t even penetrate the Leopard turret. and that armor is between 20 - 30 years old. 3BM 60 can’t even penetrate the LFP of any of the sep variants
When i look at stuff like this, i just sit back and laugh
This round would never penetrate the Abrams and even using Gaijins suspicious rating for D.U which is an added 240mm of armor protection for kinetic rounds, adding that onto the turret brings the LFP of the Abrams to 632 - 640mm of protection vs kinetic rounds, and that’s just first generation D.U. Then we have the add-on titanium armor plates which increases the protection and oddly the Bradley is also missing its titanium roof.
The 120S should not have 1200hp it was never fitted with that engine
To clarify things up a bit.
Currently M774 are overperform according to this bug report
It only has 345 mm rod
Its penetration would go down below 350mm when it got fix
So M833 would be a perfect replacement when M774 was fix.
Well seeing as how M833 would send M1 up, I guess a nerf in the other direction would send the M1 to 10.3! Sorry, thats just fair. Its what I learned from the thread. :D
It was envisioned that production vehicles would have the more powerful General Dynamics Land Systems AVDS-1790-9 diesel developing 1,200 hp (890 kW) and Allison X-1100-5 series automatic transmission
The prototype only ever had the 750 hp engine it takes literally 5 seconds to figure this out
Doesn’t it also have the downgraded thermals that it shouldn’t have that were proposed as an alternate option? And access to DU alloy ammo that wouldn’t be likely to be exported either.
So its an erroneous combination, that doesn’t actually correspond to any given variant like the multitude of other vehicles (e.g. Yak-141, F-4E, F-14A “Early”, F-111A & F-111F / F-111C, A-7D & -7E, F-16C-50+, (GER) MiG-29[9.12A], etc.) that are all similar.
It gets gen 2 thermals in game
