Well you’re increasing its performance so in turn its going to move up in BR thats how this works the abrams is already the best 10.7 so any further buff would fully justify it going to 11.0
The whole point is that M833 is still worse than any other shell found at 10.7 and you still insist that it needs to be higher than any other 10.7 with a still worse shell…?
Wait until you learn that the BR, balance and capabilities of a vehicle are defined by more than shell penetration.
And you are telling me that the mobility and protection of the other vehicles is SO much worse than M1’s that, M1, just by getting 23 extra mm compared to now so that its penetration power isn’t so far behind everyone else’s (would still be far behind though) would warrant it to be a higher BR than these?
Type 90s are sitting at 11.3 with better armor, 120mm DM33 and a 4 second autoloader… how on Earth should M1 be just 0.3 BRs away from it? I hope this isn’t the part where you suggest that Type 90 should be 11.7…
The M1 has superior capabilities to other vehicles, just as other vehicles have superior capabilities to the abrams. Whether or not it moves up is not my or your decision to make and will be done if gaijin believes the performance would increase beyond their acceptable metrics.
That wouldn’t change with m833. M900 yes that would definitely change but m833 will put the Abrams of the exact position is already in it’s not as big of a deal as everybody including myself in this thread is making it
Exactly.
With M774, M1 has the worst penetration in all of 10.7.
With M833, M1 would STILL have the worst penetration in all of 10.7… just with a more historical shell that would “feel” better.
Most of the performance improvement would be pretty much placebo and have nearly zero impact in performance. I can’t fathom how anyone could suggest that it should be a higher BR than T-80B or Leopard 2A4 just because it gets a few extra mm of pen that wouldn’t really change anything.
That’s simply untrue though, it is an objective fact that it would buff the vehicle. If it’s performance is likely to increase beyond what gaijin deem acceptable they will increase it in return. It’s not your decision to make.
This presupposes:
- The M1 and M1 KVT are given M883.
- The performance of the M1 and M1 KVT MASSIVELY outperform the rest of the 10.7s as the result of adding M833.
Thus it stands to reason no one can know M833 would cause such a dynamic change in performance since the only tank that carries it in the Abrams line currently is the IPM1, at 11.3, which faces top tier.
Ah yes it would become godly at 23 mm more flat penetration probably less angled
It is already a capable vehicle for the BR as it is given it has not received any changes for such a period of time. We do not know currently where in gaijins tolerance it is for moving in BR. For all you know it may be on the cusp of moving up already so adding it would justify moving up. All that matters is how gaijin determines the positioning and what they deem necessary in the hypothetical scenario that they even do decide to add it. I have no control over this.
All because of 23mm
And you keep typing as if you speak with the authority of gaijin it’s not like there’s models in game that are severely outdated or even the wiki entries being outdated
Irrelevant to what I just said.
And you keep typing as if you speak with the authority of gaijin
Where have I ever claimed authority over gaijin? Or to wield gaijins authority?
It’s not irrelevant because it’s all your argument boils down to 23 extra millimeters would make everything obsolete at the BR
It is irrelevant because I just explained to you why “it’s just 23mm” doesn’t matter and may still result in a BR increase anyway.
You keep typing things like it’s where gaijin intends it to be when you don’t really know that yourself
Nothing you’ve said is substantiated in the last few posts over a buff that still leaves it in the same spot it already was having the worst pen
You keep typing things like it’s where gaijin intends it to be when you don’t really know that yourself
Gaijin release balance patches relatively frequently and cite their internal performance metrics for balance changes in the attached correspondence. The vehicle has not moved in a long time, so clearly it is within their acceptable performance metrics or it would have changed.
Nothing you’ve said is substantiated in the last few posts over a buff that still leaves it in the same spot it already was having the worst pen
I have substantiated what I have said, you’ve simply either not read and understood or ignored it.
I don’t know how I could possibly make it any clearer to you, your feelings on whether or not it should stay at 10.7 in the hypothetical situation it received it does not really matter if gaijins statistics and balancing methods determine it needs to move up.
No there was nothing substantial in it. I read the whole thing and I think I’ve been pretty fair in here.
