Remember all the times in the past where past tankers and gamers agreed that the M1 should receive the M833 APFSDS-T?
To me, now feels like the appropriate time to bring it up and have the M1 carry its round.
And before any of the naysayers want to exclaim 5 second reload, do keep in mind very much that MOST of the same tanks in 10.7 and 11.0 today now have access to rounds that are still offering multiples more penetration and perforation power than the M774, which some here claim is also buffed outside of historical specs for balance purposes.
The M833 is already modeled in the IPM1, thus it should be such a damning thing to bring the round into the M1 and M1 KVT at 10.7, particularly when Object 292 appears in the same tier, with the most powerful gun in the game, and armor that is still thick enough to stop a 774 from defilade or distance with regularity.
If only the M1 was brought up, then I can see it getting the M833 but since pretty much all the mbts went up .3, then it isn’t really a justification to give it one.

I haven’t had many battles in this BR bracket but I think object 292 is too powerful altogether. The 3BM42 from my T-90 Bhishma barely tickles it unless I am very precise
Reminder that a myriad of other tanks making the same exact movies did get superior rounds while their counterparts got nothing, EG the earlier Type 16s and the HC derived M1s.
It makes little sense why everyone did not get superior rounds with this change.
The fact that the XM-1 is still sporting only M735 even after it’s massive nerf is hilarious to me as well.
Either everyone gets handouts with these BR changes or nobody should have.
I find it amusing that some people claiming a vehicle is one of the best performing somehow is reason enough to keep it the same.
Hence my suggestion.
What difference does a historically accurate round with additional penetration do when it’s already facing the most lolpen round in the game at the same BR?
Not to mention that it’s own turret cheeks can’t even stop 3BM42, much less a ATGM.
M774 can’t penetrate any thing at 10.7 , and definitely can’t penetrate 11.0s or 11.3 o 11.7s m774 is a useless round that shouldn’t even be in the game anymore for the Abrams. Every Russian tank got 3BM-42 for free, but the Abrams can’t get the round it actually fired.
Just curious, but wouldn’t giving it a better round increase its BR? Especially considering it is one of the better MBTs at that BR (according to others).
I can understand the BR not changing if it is underperforming, (such as the XM-1 getting M774 and staying at 9.3 for example) but not if it is a good tank for it’s BR.
because you are essentially asking “read through all the patch notes since the games inception” which is a bit unrealistic let’s be honest. if you have such a hyper fixation on proving a point you should be prepared by having the information with you to show that it is the case or not
We can both pull out specific examples all day long but to have a clear conclusion we need a full timeline. Unless someone wants do to the work putting all that together, it’s not happening.
Like, why do US Korean War era jets with insane speed and energy retention get air spawns. Imagine redlining one of the fastest planes at the BR and the air spawn jet is still pulling away after doing the dumbest maneuvers I have ever seen.
