About the results I expected, frankly. As tempting as it is to have my own go at it, I frankly just cannot be arsed to waste my time on 45 matches for an outcome I already know will happen. Could instead spend that time playing games I actually enjoy instead of WT.
So you don’t enjoy playing the game, but still feel the need to tell others playing the game its a skill issue. What’s the point of your opinion then? Its not like adding the round, or even making the Abrams fire the Deathstar’s laser will change if you play the game or not.
That being said if adding the M833 is a placebo round, then why not add it? At that point all it does is makes modules in the M1 cheaper to get. KVT just will have another round, but nothing changes.
Or if it is the ultimate penning round as some claim I’d compromise and adjust the reload rate to match the penetration increase. From 372 to 395 or a 7% increase in penetration. Which would mean 5.3 second reload with ace crew. Matching the Leo 2’s reload rate of 6 seconds is a 20% increase in time, which is if reload rate is balance, require a shell that pens near 450mm. The logic this follows is the Abrams should be penning 20% less than the Leo 2, cause it can fire 20% faster. That’s a 328mm of pen, does that balance out the M1 in your opinion? There’s more to balance than just the reload rate, the armor, and mobility come into play. Leo 2 is more likely to tank a hit than an Abrams. So it doesn’t matter if the Abrams can fire a second faster, if its more likely to be crippled the first shot vs the other. Skill helps, but you can’t be perfect every time.
If thunderskill ever comes back on online, I’d love to see how many Ariete AMV are being used vs the Leo 2A7HU for Italy. I’m sure pretty sure it will be the Leo 2. They both fire DM53 but I’m sure the Ariete’s one second faster reload rate doesn’t matter as much vs it’s lack of armor.
Idk how it’s statistically, but from what I see, people including myself usually spawn 2A7HU first, then AMV, OTOMATIC or AH-129D (or some plane CAS). That’s not only because 2A7HU armor is superior compared to Ariete (although I’m a shit player, who can’t effectively use it, literally do better in AMV lol), but also because 2A7HU is relatively new addition and it’s still get spaded.
@Casino_Knight Under my same logic of the US m1 Abrams getting m833 the leopard 2a4 should get dm33 dm33 only came out 2 years into the production run of the A4 just like m833 came out before the m1 IP
There’s A LOT that needs to be done to this game to make me play it more, and one of those main things for me is for Gaijin to stop screwing over everything that isn’t Russian.
And I will call out skill issue on people when it deserves to be called out. If you have an issue with that, it’s your problem, not mine.
Now, back to main topic. M833 would still be underperforming at 10.7 compared to what the other MBTs fire, but the discrepancy wouldn’t be as massive as it currently is for the M1 having to go without it.
Or give the leopard 2a4 dm33 because the dm33 came out 2 years after production started of the leopard2a4
We’re focused on the M1 Abrams and M1 KVT, yes, and it’s playability?
The Leopard 2A4 and its premium counterpart, even with only DM23, are still performing at average with a 1.5 k/d ratio in 15 matches, versus 1 for 1 with the M1. The DM23 round is substantial also in perforation and spalling effects, often making it a one-shot against most T-series tanks (see it and JM33 in the Japanese Type 90s).
The M833 is equal to the DM33, which can be found on German tanks at 9.0 BR. M833 should have been added when the Abrams was first put in the game. Theres no reason to move it up in BR again for correcting the issue.
The reason was decompression.
I’m saying there’s no reason to move it up again if the M833 is added.
And if you’ve been following this thread I’ve mentioned the type 93 a whole lot too at Japanese 9.0
We’re saying after this most recent move it should get m833
Sup dinfire, ive seen your videos on tiktok
Sup Velaton! Thanks for watching!
15 matches each. Object 292, Leopard 2, M1 KVT.
Play each of them 15 times, no respawns, and get us the kill results you have. There’s your challenge Ion.
Frankly, it should get the round without the changes. As an average player, I can say it DOES underperform, in terms of penetration. It’s a glass canon without the canon.
I’m not sure if you’ve mentioned it but the CCVL fires M833 at 10.0. While yes it’s a light tank, it still means the M1 could get M833. Similar situation with the Wolfpack firing M900, or the TCM AGS firing M833 (its only 11.0 because of the crew-less turret).
- 5s reload + incredible mobility.
Glass cannon is a term used to describe a vehicle which sacrifices much, particularly survivability, for a potent advantage in firepower.
The M1 is a vehicle that is extremely strong in the majority of categories, so using that term for the M1’s is pretty silly.
Between the Ariete (P), Challenger Mk3, T-80B, Leopard 2A4 and M1 Abrams, the M1 Abrams has:
- The best mobility.
- The (shared) best gun handling.
- The best survivability.
- Average armour.
- Average firepower.
Overestimating yourself quite a bit by calling yourself average. Aside from that you are not an authority on whether or not it underperforms, only gaijin have the data and the fact it has remained where it has for so long while highly played indicates it is balanced where it is or it would have changed. The fact that above average and good players can absolutely dominate in it also indicates that it is not underperforming.
That is all.
