Python 4 and 5 also don’t have thrust vectoring, their whole purpose is to turn as hard as possible without the drawbacks of thrust vectoring iirc

This was never about the PL-8B? I responded with a picture of a PL-9 and a Python 4 because you said they were the same missile. What are you on about?
The PL-8B is a greatly upgraded Chinese built copy of the Python 3.

No i didnt say they were the same. And yeah sorry got confused with the pl-8 and Pl-9 they kinda looks similar. All im sayin is that the Python is a way more capable missile than the pl-9 in terms of maneuverability.

But yeah the PL-9 was a stopgap/export so it wasn’t as advanced as other missiles

PL-8 is a Carbon copy of the Python 3
PL-8A is a Python 3 but you can use HMCS with it
PL-8B has the same upgrades as the PL-8A but with fully domestic parts and an IRCCM seeker
Everything is flareable at that distance
python 3 wieghts less and can pull more evasive manuvers irl

I would like to see more nation specific munitions in general.
The first batch of PL-8s were literally assembled in Israel with Israeli parts and then imported by China. They are Python 3s with a different name.

Admirable effort but F-16D is incredibly well informed (bro is the top bug reporter for Israeli Tech) and likely knows more than you on the topic of weaponry and vehicles, especially since you are making unsourced claims about the Python 3…
So the best that you can get as an argument is “trust me bro” and an unverifiable second hand statement…

To be fair, speaking from personal knowledge. Even if he had proof Israel would be very upset if he shared it. They really lock down their documents… even things that would be public knowledge for other countries tends to be classified in Israel.
Although I am not saying he is correct. He just wouldn’t be able to provide proof if he was.
EDIT: I do tend to agree with F-16D Barak II.
Some of what they have said in the past lines up with what I am aware of.
