I repeat my statement above. The chassis model is already in game as well as the turret model or can you not read. The Desert Warrior literally uses the same DELCO turret used by the LAV-25. The LAV-AD uses the same base chassis, powertrain, and mobility components as the standard LAV-25. So it shouldn’t be that hard there’s not really much that needs to be done.

And neither is the M1296, most vehicles added to War Thunder aren’t copy-paste.

Sorry just got annoyed cause i was arguing the same thing with someone on a warthunder discord. But they had all this time with both models in game and they add the M1296. The LAV would at least to be able to use TOWs.
It won’t get added until it’s a couple years too late to be a major effective addition (this is satire do not take this seriously)

Jumbo not the same as the medium tank shermans.
F-16A not the same as F-16C or F-16I.

Same reason we don’t have the amx 13 105 (hull is obvious, turret is same as df105). Nobody knows but the reason is most likely stupid. Drip feeding content.
I am mostly salty about the amx 13 105 as there have been updates before just like the current one where france gets nothing (mayhe except 1 ship) while this is a really easy way to actually add a new vehicle without any real work.

You’re right that minor variants aren’t inherently copypaste. What you’re wrong about is minor variants not becoming copyslop once gaijin clearly makes the decision to prioritize low effort copyslop rather than develop unique and new chassis/vehicles
It is overdue in my opinion, the Scorpion series, the BMDs 1-3 too. But alas, all will come eventually, and as the recent trend with light armored vehicles continues suggest I’d be surprised if they miss these, also not to mention there are a lot to scoop up in general so they have a content stream for quite a while.
And there’s a fully fledged functional m113 M2HB model in game and we don’t have that yet
Well they are copy and paste. A lot of people don’t understand how 3D models really work, especially when it comes to different variants and stuff. Unless Gaijin is making every plane from scratch (They’re not unless they prove otherwise.) These planes are made at one time, with each option being a toggle to display or not display.
Its why sometimes when the SU34 bugs out in your hangar you can see the ECM pods on the wingtips lol
