No LAV-25 yet?

Well they are copy and paste. A lot of people don’t understand how 3D models really work, especially when it comes to different variants and stuff. Unless Gaijin is making every plane from scratch (They’re not unless they prove otherwise.) These planes are made at one time, with each option being a toggle to display or not display.

Its why sometimes when the SU34 bugs out in your hangar you can see the ECM pods on the wingtips lol

O our 3 degrees of copy paste. These 114pen 30mm autocannons are all around degree 2

if we do lav25 there would be lav6, aslav and the whole family lol

As a 3D modeler myself, you’d be surprised how often assets are reused/copy pasted in games in general. It saves on time and game complexity, but comes with issues like you mentioned. There really needs to be a massive model overhaul for older vehicles and as for aircraft, more complex models in general.

Saves on money is the biggest thing.

Gaijin has fallen to a sad state of money grabbing as much as possible. It was extremely pathetic they released a premium helicopter with a placeholder cockpit in recent times.

Still Sherman’s.

But since that doesnt work theres the panzer 3/4s, the russian t34s in. All the cold war russian tanks. All the Leopards. Bunch of m60s that are very similar models with minimal changes… copy paste russian AAs… the m48s, m26s, m46s, blah blah blah blah. Some are only copied once or twice, many are copied multiple times across multiple trees with minor cosmetic or module changes but still the same core vehicle.

Bro 70% of the vehicles in game are copy pastes with a few outliers that have slightly altered models that took minimal effort.

Once again

Panzer with 50mm or 75mm shrt gun =/= Panzer with pak 40
T-34-76 =/= T-34-85 (different armors values and gun)
Leopard 1 =/= Leopard 1a5 =/= Leopard 2a4 =/= Leopard 2a7
Early M-60 =/= Sabrah

Etc, etc, etc.

Just because they use the same platform doesnt mean its copy paste, they have different engine (speed), guns, armor (composite or ERA), etc. Sometimes even the manufactures modify the platform itself (like shermans).

My point is adjusting values. Cosmetic internals, and some minor external tweaks dont equal a new vehicle. Most of them make sense - but they are still copy pasted with minor changes usually. Does that make sense? I get your point.

So like the 2 T-72B3?

Sure
