I don’t know honestly. I haven’t seen anything specific on it, could be for additional storage, compartment for indigenous electronics/comms, or a feature like drone capability that hasn’t been announced yet.
The M1A2T gets the Auxiliary Cooling and Power System (ACPS) mounted on the rear of the turret in the rear turret bustle, replacing the old Thermal Management System (TMS).
I forgot about the ACPS, the TMS is outdated.
🇮🇱 Merkava 3/4-variants and the LAHAT
I can’t remember if I posted it but hopefully we see the Merkava 3M:
and of course, the Merkava 3D LIC:
Another two I want to mention is the Merkava 3C LIC (Trophy MV):
and the Merkava 4B LIC w/ DROID soft-kill APS(which it should get added to differ it more so):
- Side Note: @Merkko, you should do a suggestion of the Merkava 4B LIC with DROID or a suggestion to add it as a modification to the existing LIC. You’re a wizard of Israeli vehicles.
Not to mention, give the Merkava the LAHAT GL-ATGM:
Lastly, hopefully we can see some armor fixes with the Merkava 3/4’s considering they can be penetrated very easily.
Is there even enough proof of this thing’s existence to provide a suggestion for it, let alone implement it ingame? All I’ve ever seen were the 2 front and rear photos of it and that was it, not even any sources. Feels like a similar case as with the Magach 7A-120 where we may never see it. The Merkava Mk.3C with trophy should be a viable addition though compared to the former Mk.3 you suggested as there’s already a suggestion with sources for it up on the forums as you’ve already shown.
Man I really want the LAHAT, especially for the late LIC Merkava Mk.2 variants like the Mk.2D LIC, would be funny to slap those ERA plastered soviet tanks like how I love to do with the T-90A Bishma. Its long overdue to add them, especially for the Mk.3 and Mk.4 series…
It does exist as a single prototype back in 2016, there’s just very limited information on it. It was a project undertook by the IDF to add the trophy to the last version of Merkava 3 but it was most efficient/effective to just use the Merkava 4. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if this wasn’t revisited. I think upgrading the Merkava 3D with new sights and possibly Trophy as a backup reserve vehicle while producing more Merkava 4’s would be the best move. Especially since so many Merkava 3’s were reactivated.
The very limited info is exactly what I’m concerned about, given it may be hard for gaijin to implement it or they’ll flat out refuse to do so.
Same thing probably gonna happen with this beauty…
Magach 7A-120 my beloved
And also yeah, it may be a smart idea to improve the current Mk.3s to a new standard, similar to what they did with the Mk.2s way back when. Adding an APS and upgraded sights would definitely be a great way to modernize them to a usable standard, however the turret armor and armor for the driver would need to be improved significantly to survive the modern battlefield with Kornets flying around everywhere.
Yeah, I think the best way to get information on the Merkava 3M is in Israel itself at like a public archive or something.
Yeah…the armor is good but has its limitations:
The Merkava 3D with those mods or even adding Iron Fist-Light Decoupled as found on the Black Knight in-game would be a serious boost in protection. Probably easier to implement too. With it, replacing the older PIANO LWS with modern Elbit System’s LWS shouldn’t be too difficult either, especially if they could reuse the same mounting locations. Modern 3rd-generation thermal cameras for all stations would allow it to put in some serious work but it would still be semi-hampered by its mobility. The omni-panoramic camera being replaced with a 3rd-generation version would offer a major increase in SA too.
Also, a radical fun design. Hope to see it. I bet more info on this could probably be found in archives in Israel itself. Maybe at the war museum too.
Even if we don’t get it, the Sabra Mk.1 should be able to cover it lol. Would be a mean beast if it did come given its ~700-900mm chemically protected turret and ~700-500mm chemically protected hull (assuming it keeps similar figures as the 7C ofc). Fingers crossed we’ll get a armor buff (specifically KE) for the Magach 7 series before it does come, if at all, mainly given the absolutely horrible KE multipliers this things armor has…
Agreed. Honestly, the armor values for most Rank VI+ Israeli tanks suck and are horribly underperforming.
On a side note, another three vehicles I want to see…
M109A5 Doher, Israel’s Sniper
- The latest version of the M109 in use with the IDF. Currently undergoing a replacement program with likely contenders being the Artillery Gun Module and ATMOS 2000. I don’t know what the current status is of it.
Achzarit Mk. 2 (RCWS-30), New Life in Old Gear
- A repurposed Tiran hull converted into an APC, which was further converted into an IFV prototype known as the Achzarit Mk. 2 which uses a Elbit System’s RCWS-30 which can be found on the current in-game Namer 30. This module has a 30mm Bushmaster, coaxial 7.62mm machine gun, and Spike-LR missiles. This prototype does however, lack a Commander’s sight.
Namer 30, the Armored IFV
- One of the few HIFV’s that have been ever developed, this variant of Namer is built upon the renown Merkava hull and is equipped with a remote control turret module that has a 30mm Bushmaster, coaxial 7.62mm machine gun, a mortar, the Trophy APS, and Spike-LR missiles.
ZTQ-15: Gabon Republic
PS
ZTQ15 was not purchased and used by the Gabonese Republic, and the word Gabon sounds similar to the Chinese word for ‘adding a shed’(加棚). This is a pun in Chinese
Ig they will never add the Pereh then, even tho it was used in combat, unless it will be at BR 11.7 😂
M1A1-SAVVVV (OBR.2024)
Ukraine’s 47th Mechanized Brigade with added counter-FPV screens and Kontakt-1 ERA bricks.
M1 KVT, but actually a good looking one
This arguably would perform better than current Abrams in game ,
i want the IAI Lavi plss
