The MiG-21-97, also known as the MiG-21 Bison or MiG-21 UPG, is essentially a reengineered version of the MiG-21-93. Instead of the Tumansky R-25-300 engine, it now features the Klimov RD-33 from the MiG-29, resulting in a 17% increase in engine power, up to approximately 8250 kgf from the previous 7050 kgf. Moreover, the RD-33 is lighter by about 150kg and consumes significantly less fuel. The major upgrades include a new radar system capable of launching modern Radar missiles like the R-27 and R-77, along with enhanced avionics that support newer IR missiles such as the R-73.

The MiG-23-98 upgrade program aimed to enhance the capabilities of the MiG-23 aircraft. A single MiG-23MLD was transformed into a demonstrator for this program. The upgrade included replacing its avionics with components from the MiG-29SMT and upgrading its radar to the Moskit-23, which was based on the MiG-29 M’s radar system. Alongside improved avionics, the aircraft’s Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground weaponry options were also modernized. While the standard MiG-23MLD could already deploy R-73 missiles, the MiG-23-98 was upgraded to be capable of firing R-27s and the active radar homing R-77 missiles.

I still don’t get it. Kranvagn’s turret was never created. Not even partially. What will Gaijin mount on that hull?
At least for E-100, the Maus turret was there.
Compared to the similar US T58 which was atleast created & seems much more viable addition (well for US, not Sweden)
As far as I know an “Unfinished Prototype” will be added in intended state. So the turret would be the intended Kranvagn turret. A complete hull is way more than enough to count as unfinished prototype, considering the rule states construction of vehicle specific parts (ex. Cannon, Engine, etc.)
I personally much prefer this over creating a fictional vehicle that was never designed that way (E-100 with Maus turret).
This is also what was done to Yak-141, giving it full equipment.
It falls into unifished prototype which gaijin does say is viable for implementation but ive also seen people saying that its changed and they dont do it anymore
They havent removed the text stating that they are viable tho so im not sure if its correct or not
But if you truly want an option with a turret, there was the proposal of mounting a centurion turret to it
It never got installed but obviously this might be more viable for some people as at least that turret exists

As for the Kranvagn’s turret, it was never created/existed in the first place … Gaijin would’ve to create a turret out of thin air.
Even the Geschützwagen Tiger makes more sense than Kranvagn’s turret.
If Kranvagn gets added with the fictitious turret then what’s stopping them from adding the Chinese WZ-111 heavy tank?
The Maus turret was never meant to be mounted on the E-100 hull though, which makes that iteration in game more fictitious than modeling a paper proposal.
Call me insane, but that looks alot like an FV433 Abbot SPH turret modified with a HV 105

It uses the 2A70 gun which doesn’t have AP rounds but instead has HE and ATGM
