A true fifth generation multi-role jet devolped by the shenyang aerospace corporation . first unvield back during 2012 october 31st under the designation “FC-31” which lost to the chengdu j20. development continued under shenyang despite competition loss to chengdu ,to only recently now by late 2024 to be publicly revealed as "j35 ", a multi purpose jet to fulfil the chinese navys next generation aircraft requirement which it does flawlessly ,aswell as filling in the role as a support aircraft for the plaafs j20s, being a cheaper, newer and more light airframe . its armament being PL10,PL10 (active radar homing),PL15, ls-6 guided munitions and various other munutions. the aircraft features an advanced avionics suite with a gallium nitride advanced aesa radar with enhanced situational awarness systems and a eots similar to what is found on the j20. ( likely more air to ground oriented compared to what j20 has). this aircraft would make an exellent addition to the chinese air tree and i can see it added by late 2026 , as by the rate gaijin is advancing its not too far until we see stealth fighters.
Yeah, the turret is in its base form. It’s supposed to integrate the RADAR’s for Quick Kill APS and extra composite armor. Honestly, I really hope War Thunder can make that vehicle a reality in-game. It meets the requirements for implementation.
I don’t understand people suggesting NK stuff when we have ZERO information other than pictures and vague claims. I would much rather have paper vehicles because we at least get stats for those…
While stats are unknown of the vehicle, they are still unique creations which is why people want them in-game, regardless of there legit capability or not. APS, mounted ATGM Launcher, etc. There are videos released that show some of the capabilities of said vehicles like the testing of the Afghanit-like APS on the other production model:
Does anyone know if there are plans for the U.K. to develop its own 30mm/40mm variant of the Boxer? I thought there was talk about it but haven’t seen anything.
