Next patch and beyond wishlist(Everything except Tech Trees) (Part 1)

by the time this game receives f-35 the aim-260 can be considered. russians and chinese would have their stealth jets, with long range missiles too. some other countries have non paper developmental projects too.

  1. you know what i mean
  2. i highly doubt an ASRAAM is hitting an aircraft with a MAWS, or an aircraft greater than 50km away
  3. yes i do trust them, PL-17 is physically a very big missile and made to kill AWACS. AIM-260 is hitting IOC this year, already been tested throughouly. Raytheon is direct competition to AIM-260, as AIM-260 is made by LM

If they went with F-35 Astra would be a requirement, the IAF likes domestic supply chains, especially for ammunition. If they went with SU-57 we’d probably see ASRAAM & Astra integration on it
Not that we’re likely to see them go with SU-57 or F-35 tbh, I can’t see either Russia or the US going for local Indian production (which will likely be the make or break for the competition)

have a feeling early block stealth fighters come with amraams/their equivalents and later blocks with longer range missiles that wont compete with 4.5 gen fighters

the more ammo choices the better, however after the initial volleys of BVR missiles top tier air will still be dominated by shorter range air dominance missiles like ASRAAM so quite often these extreme range missiles will just be too long range for what war thunder can handle. they will be incredible for sim tho

France is the least strict country in the world they don’t care whatever their clients do… USA is probably one of the strictest.

they could fly out of the map sometimes but we can still have fun bvr with it. people right now are having fun playing bvr, too. though with long range missiles, every map should atleast be ec or bigger…

As in the same one on the Tonkas or is there another PGM I’ve missed?

Its IR seeker is much more like a thermal camera than older IR missiles and as its a lot more modern than most of its peers has better flare resistance, just like how modern radar missiles can ignore chaff.

Big missiles are less agile so will burn momentum chasing a notching aircraft

we will have to wait an see if aim 260 actually gets anywhere first we can only speculate still

with long range missiles, towed decoys will probably become a thing

That may be true however if it is (very big emphasis on if) none of them have any energy.

Very true, France doesnt give a toss about who buys their stuff, France was selling anti ship missiles to Argentina as they were (quite obviously I should add) preparing to invade the falklands which are sovereign land of one of their NATO allies. They were also selling sights for tanks and afvs to russia in the build up to their invasion of ukraine

r-37m already proved itself in ukraine against low flying maneuvering targets. definetly had the energy to be fired from their side, outside of sam range.

Typhoon already has the decoy pod modelled as if it was ready to deploy it, almost like they were going to add towed decoys with eurofighter but they pushed typhoon forward in the rushed disaster late 2024 was

PRTL GWI - a Dutch sister-program to the German Gepard

This Dutch C series from the original proposal for a SHORAD SPAA underwent several MLU’s, such as the capabilities to use FAPDS and APFSDS. These ammunitions were fully in-service with the Dutch armed forces and would later be converted to be used on the CV9035NL, especially for the FAPDS. Read more here.

It could be a very nice 9.0-9.7 SPAA for in the Benelux (sub)tech tree and would help French tech tree SHORAD a lot, as vehicles like the SANTAL lack guns.

If you want ATGM, then you have to put up with worse mobility and energy and higher BR. That might as well give us the best firepower and the strongest mobility.

This is ZTZ99A

Not by me at least 👍

That’s what I figured. The look of the rear part of the turret, the APS launcher, etc. Thanks.
