Oh and the proper dunkelgrau color for German tanks, the current one is too light. I’d also love to see the early bicolor camouflage Germany adopted during the first stages of WW2, consisting of a mix of dunkelgrau and dunkelbraun:
I’m thinking of making a suggestion for the decals and camouflage part.
Sorry that was the wrong designation but the Optimum turret also has the 105 mm gun, I don’t believe the 120mm gun was mounted to any turret. Except maybe the Rooikat’s GT-12 which I heard was but there are no images to prove this.
There is unconfirmed information that ~3, GT-9 120mm guns were created and tested. And the company adapted them for a turret with a 105mm gun TTD, and in parallel with the installation of the turret from the video (Optimum)
I’m not denying this, the image shows one in testing, there is no evidence it was ever installed on either Optimum or TTD turrets. As I don’t think its development was fully finished and the ideas were later used for the GT-9
I have looked everywhere for more info on this and couldn’t find anything, is this even real? I think its just some tank mechanics having fun seeing what an strv103 with a turret would look like, you can see the centurion chassis they lifted the turret from on the right
A Vickers prototype from 1988, it uses an SP-70 turret on a new hull with torsion bar suspension and the Perkins Condor V8 engine found on the Warrior. This vehicle competed with and eventually lost to the AS-90.
