Idk what it is, but I like it a lot.
Oddly reminiscent of the Black Tulip
From what I’ve heard that is a SK60C, basically the SK60 we have in game but with observation equipment, again that’s just what I’ve been told when it’s appeared before.
There is a very similar Swedish prototype to that VTS1.
(I do not believe it had a functional gun however)
PLZ-07 and PLL-09, modern 122mm SPG can be very fun
T54B
IIRC the gun was fully functional, but the autoloader didn’t get bolted on to it even though it was completed and ready. Would fall under uncompleted prototypes like the Yak-141 so it could def get added by Gaijins rules.
Well, that’s the German one (Marder hull), with a mock-up gun
If you want the Swedish one, you’ll want the UDES XX-20 (has functional gun, idk about loading tho)
I believe you’re thinking of the UDES XX-20.
As far as I know that’s a German Marder with a mock-up gun from the same or a similar project.
It does, I’ve suggested it to be ported from the old forum to here, as well as on a few other threads.
I know of the UDES XX-20, but don’t know the specific designation for that thing, which was to test the the ability of the gun mounting system before going on the endeavor of full production or prototype runs of the XX-20
The VTS1 and UDES XX-20 Gun testbed have almost nothing in common other than them being a gun test bed based on the Marten IFV.
VTS-1 used a 105mm smooth bore, the XX-20 gun bed used a smooth bore 120mm
This HQ image makes the Swedish Quadricolor splinter visible, as well as the Yellow Swedish marking number on the front of the hull.
This tank is commonly referred to as “4911” because of its hull number.
The TM has a different gun and the TH uses the same dummy gun, you can tell by the length of the bore excavator.
Huh, ok. My knowledge on the topic is limited, especially since most of it was picked up here on the forums. :p
XX-20 had a functional ammo rack to my knowledge, uses a similar “rack by rack” system as the Strv 103 in the hull; before it lifts it into the main turret system and loaded, but that’s just what I can speculate.
Cool. I did not know that.
This one, while blurry, shows a mock up, excluding the bottom right image. (BR was the only working prototype)
Yet again the same only working prototype
(I’m Swedish armor nerd if you wouldn’t have been able to tell yet)
Just found it’s official designation, apparently it’s UDES 19
I really like the goofy one built on the top of the 103 (also UDES 19 early prototype)
Very cool stuff. Wish it was in game.
Annoying short thing with just a gun for a turret and behind a hill
VS
Entire enemy team
A faster and more accurate M901, UDES XX-20 is the most likely of the bunch to be added, as the 19L had to be manually loaded, and the 19E didn’t have a functioning gun.
Interesting.
Makes me like Sweden even more
(I like Sweden because bunch of funny and cool thingies)
