The XS was derived from it yes, but got some modifications and one of those was a set of countermeasures. The J never got them in operations, so it would be ahistorical. Doesn’t necessarily make it bad to add them anyway, I’m just stating a fact (countermeasures would help a lot).
My report is intended for model accuracy, if it doesn’t get countermeasures in game then the model should reflect that

i wouldn’t say that, nothing is infallible. but effectively guaranteed kill with a solid lock close range. at farther ranges you have a chance, and IIR is susceptible to atmospheric conditions
That entirely depends on how Gaijin models them and they tend to ignore common failure factors
what i said was assuming IIR actually being IIR and not just all the basic IRCCM already ingame rolled into one missile like it is for AIM-9X/IRIS-T SPAA
