This isn’t assuming anything, this is me saying that we won’t know how these missiles will be modelled until they are added to planes, so the worries of them potentially being impossible to deal with are valid

It’s going to be interesting to see, if top tier gameplay is actually gonna change with the introduction of newer missiles or 5th gens
There are plenty of things that could have a big impact, if Gaijin decides to properly model them
But future top tier could also be the exact same as current top tier, but with different models lol
Being someone that likely won’t play top tier much, I just hope that they put more effort into avoiding BR compression in the future

the only difference is that the british one gets a laser warning reciver
which dosent make a difference since it only triggers if someone fires laser guided stuff at you

stealth will make it easier to notch missiles, and at least US 5th gens have IR signature reduction measures so there will probably be some gameplay shift with that

That source is a sales proposal to Singapore.
That doesn’t say anything about any specific vehicle using the system in service.

Well, if a laser is involved, it should indeed be triggered (unless the laser somehow is low power enough to not be detected)
Which then is an entirely different matter in war thunder
Like Stormer HVM’s laser shouldnt trigger LWR but does.
But Rafales (and other IRST with laser ranging) IRST doesnt trigger LWR.
So it would be nice to get some better consistancy

You should use S-35E Drakens for your report as they are the only swedish Drakens with CMs, that or the Finnish XS and suggest compatibility like the F-5C as the XS is a J model

There are a lot of air to air missiles that have laser proximity fuse, maybe that can also trigger LWS irl.
I think by the time those would trigger LWR, it would be a bit too late.
But if you get LWR warnings from an IRST, then you might have warning that someone is about to fire an IR missile at you via an IRST lock.
Yes, but when they do, its kind of too late to do anything.
