I wasn’t even aware that the USSR tree didn’t have an IR SAM at top tier, but I would bet that they have an option
to be honest, i’d sacrifice half the IR AAs at Top Tier for the Pantsir S1 / SM-SV

I think Hungary ordered NASAMS III at some point, but I don’t know if their order was for mobile launchers
It would be worse than the SLM by quite a bit btw. MICA VL can only have 4 missiles per launcher, while SLM has 8.
ill have to look into that.
VL MICA is not as good as some people paint it to be. around 2.5 Mach and 20km range. 4 missiles per launcher.
Dunno what radar, so cant say anything about that.

About the only decent thing it has would be that it can mix-and-match the IR/radar in the same launcher irl. Surprising it hasn’t come yet.

Haven’t heard about that before, an ASRAAM SAM sounds pretty neat
Being developed with Ukraine to deal with drones. Started out as basically just a truck with 2x ASRAAM on the back of it, but now has a turret with 4.
Would make a good 12.0 SAM
I mean there are plenty of SAM systems which can come for Italy and some could be placed at lower than top tier BR.
