Description: The Iveco Lince (Starstreak) is a rather unknown aircraft version of the Iveco Lince LMV. The Iveco LMV (light multirole vehicle), or as commonly known, “Lince,” is an Italian 4x4 light transport vehicle developed in the 1990’s for the Italian army, which was looking for a new vehicle that could have replaced the old VM90. The serial production started in 2006, and it entered into service with the Italian army in 2013, who by that time had ordered more than 2000 units. Shortly after, other countries like the UK, Czech Republic, Spain, Russia, and others began to be interested in the platform and ordered the vehicle in good numbers as well. By 2017, more than 4000 licenses in various different versions across 16 operators were made, with more under construction. It was also deployed in many wars (mainly by Italy) such as Libya, Iraq, and Afghanistan, where it proved to be a very successful machine. The most recent conflict it saw was the war in Ukraine, where both factions deployed the Lice to support their troops. The variant presented here in the specific is a rather unknown and undetailed one. In 2008, at the Farnborough Air Show in the United Kingdom, Iveco presented an anty aircraft version of the LMV, fitted with an FLIR and four starstreak missile launchers. This small launcher can also be fitted with the lightweight Martlet multiporpouse missile, which was also shown during the airshow from one of the launchers. But unfortunately, this very rare version disappeared shortly after the airshow since no additional information was released whatsoever and because no one ordered it. But apparently, an hydentical concept with the same missiles and optics was seen later on a Lince LMV 2 (upgraded version), but this time with even fewer informations, and like its predecessor, it disappeared without leaving any other evidence.

Why it should be in game: It could be a good addition to the italian anty aircraft line, wich is severly lacking a lot of veichles.

+1 I’d take any missile anti air for Italy at this point.

4 Starstreaks is going to be painful. I just hope they decide to add it with Martlets or make the HVM’s ACLOS.

well the veichle will probably be able to carry more in the hull (as there is a plenty of space), but we don’t just know how many since very little info are avaible.

Anything to boost Italy’s upper-level AA capabilities. +1
