We are comparing a 2A7V in its maximum weight configuration (that is used by the BW) featuring addon-equipment with it.
If we didnt, then 2A7V would still be lighter as it’s 63.9t w/o the underbelly mine-protection.
(and again the maximum vehicle weight of a 2A7 is literally 6t lower than the COMBAT WEIGHT of a Challenger 2 with addon-equipment (combat-weight != maximum weight))
So idk why we are having this argument here in the first place.
Challenger 2 is heavier than a 2A7V in comparable configurations. Period.

67.38T is with Dorchester Level 2E kit equipped.
Why would you compare a Base CR2 to a 2A7V?
because the Black night is a tech demo the 3TD is a tech demo the 2E is export and the 2F TES and OES are all armour packages so it being heavier with them is basic knowledge
But wouldn’t the 2A5 or 2A6 a better comparison?

@Rzi4628-live You can say it as many times as you want that the leopard weighs more, what remains is that it has at least a 1500hp engine to compensate for the aforementioned weight, this cannot be said for the challenger
Becuase it was so unfair to compare the heaviest configuration of a 2A7V with the heaviest configuration of a Challenger 2.
Clearly comparing the lighest ingame version of a Challenger 2 with the heaviest ingame version of the BW’s Leopard 2 is the fairer comparison.
the base CR2 isnt the lightest that would be the CR2E or the CR3TD and the configuration of the 2a7 im using isnt the heaviest
saying its “obese” is calling it fat is calling it heavy when its got the average weight of a modern mbt with yes less power to compensate but that was never part of the conversation from what i know

that the challenger isnt “obese” as its weight is average for a modern mbt but it can be considered underpowered
It still is obese, the actual comparison would be more like 2a5/6 vs chally 2
2A7V is pretty much only further upgraded 2a5/6. The addon armor is the same as you adding ERA
