The 130mm was never in consideration for today it’s a consideration for in 10 years or whenever it’s needed to be able to fit the 130mm without many issues

Rheinmetall themselves never called it a challenger 2 they called it the 130mm mbt or 130mm testbed
“they” as in the person i replied to didnt write it but that is its official name or just “Challenger 130”
Britain already has a large selection of CAS aircraft below this BR. More than other nations in some cases. So the focus has been on other areas and suggestions.
Of course more aircraft are still possible at this BR too.
