Well the thing is, they won’t be adding meteor or 9X to Gripen E only. If added, it would be added to all jets that can carry it. US jets would get 9X, Eurofighter and rafale would get meteors. Beside meteors other nation would also get advance ARH missile lile R-37, PL-15, AIM-120D and AIM-174B

no absolutely they shouldn’t just add it to one jet only. however the Gripen E has a massive con atm and the Meteor is a must atm and it needs it badly… and it’s also time we atleast get the 9X. plus the Eurofighter and F15E are more then fine with the 120C and yea sure the D would be needed to be added but once again it wouldn’t make the Gripen E any better. i’m not glazing sweden i’m just saying sweden also needs to be compete. i have USA, USSR, British, France and sweden and tbh out of all the JAS39E is just meh with BVR.

The Meteor and R37M aren’t comparable at all
The Meteor is more like the AIM-120D
Too late its already coming prepare to be a 13.3 or 13.7 and be stuck with 9M vs ASRAAM or Aim 120 vs Meteor

Range isn’t what I want. I want the Gripen E to actually be competitive in BVR. The meteor solves that issue. Just balance the range out and you’re good to go. The Gripen is is not that good and capable due to its thrust compared to the F15E. If you know how the meteor works then you’d maybe understand where I’m coming from. And I’m not saying you don’t but the JAS39E is absolutely dogshit for BVR atm unless you get down tiered
