That would be the one of the best Air to air missile in game if added. Mach 6 would be overkill especially in maps we have currently :(

After all, BVVD in Q`A answered that SEAD ammunition will be added in the first quarter of 2026 (which is March), and as stated in the recent leak, we will also see more advanced SAM systems (such as the S-300 and Patriot), and most likely, we will see the 9th rank of aviation, which will likely include new aircraft. In general, based on what we have, the next update is quite interesting.

Yea but the AIM 120C isn’t fit for the Gripen E. It lacks the speed it needs for BVR. The Meteor would fix that. Plus we need atleast the 9X this update

my wish and the best option is to add bigger maps, 250x250km with the current missile.
we can do better better bvr with the current missiles that we have, reminder that we still launch them at 6km while we can do better at 12km altitude.
- bigger maps = better bvr gameplay = no sweaty chaff gameplay = more plane can do bvr such as mig29 = better targets to destroy = chance of adding moder ships mixed mode = adding anti ships missile = carrier being used = chance to add refuel tankers = chance to add data link btw players.

I agree with you but a lot of people don’t like larger maps. Maybe with aerial warfare mode they talked about will give us very large maps. Hopefully it would be a different game mode so that players who want smaller maps can still play air RB.
i dont care if they wont like it. they have arcrade mode.
or even better add it as a seperate mode ( easy job for gaijin as they will simply use it to replace current bad sim maps )
I think the main disadvantage is the number of missiles - only 4 per launcher
i understand not everyone doesn’t like larger maps but that doesn’t mean people who spend hours grinding a tech tree should have to suffer and reach top tier just to find out the JAS39E is VERY underwhelming. it’s a very good jet if it actually had the missiles it carried. i’m not saying add in every new missile now but atleast make Sweden able to compete in BVR. and on the other hand for new IR missiles it’s absolutely time for them. we have new jets which use missiles from generations ago. if you play smart and properly notch it shouldn’t be an issue. most people complain due to the fact they don’t take advantage or know how to defeat a missile properly.
atleast start small with the AIM 9X to see how it goes then move forward by adding more.
and sure you’d say the use the RB 99. Simply no. i mean yea it’s better then the C for the Gripen E but also consider that if others are against me in an F15E or Eurofighter and have the 120C they get to fire at me from longer ranges meanwhile i have to wait till 25-30KM due to my speed. the Meteor would solve that problem since it actually adjusts it’s speed and actually reacts to what the opponent is doing so what speed i currently am at won’t really matter.
