Japan should get an Indonesian Rafale and the Thai Gripen E
they should also get the EF because japan once considered the EF, it should be called the JF-2000AJ

but then please folder it.
and still:
What do you mean? Pretty much all top tier IR/TV AGM’s / bombs track moving targets while being FnF.
and pretty much all of them have longer max range than the seekers is able to track and lock targets at the Spear would be no different
If it was IR guided that is
Yes, the early F-4EJ is an aircraft comparable in capabilities to the Mitsubishi F-2 or the Eurofighter. XD
I suggest you go through your mourning process quickly, because that train has already left the station
Were it for me France wouldn’t have Leopard IIs (Sagaie, EBRC, some funny ATGM and Leclerc prototypes instead) or F-16s (unneeded), but that’s now how it is, so it seems every tree will get a bit of everything
Where do you even get that the spear-glide is IR/SAL/GPS?, it is only GPS and have image for navegation not targeting.
Named SPEAR GLIDE, the missile is positioned as a low-cost variant of the main SPEAR product and will be primarily aimed at the fourth-generation combat aircraft market, such as the Eurofighter Typhoon, Gripen E/F and KF 21, according to an MBDA spokesperson who spoke to select media ahead of DSEI.
Matured over the last 18 months, the product has completed its assessment phase with the front end and warhead components currently being tested, MBDA added. Weighing approximately 100kg with a 2m length, the munition is ITAR-free and will have a semi-active laser and electro-optic/infrared (EO/IR) seeker. - Source
So defo EO/IR + SAL. Fairly certain Ive seen something somewhere it is GNSS as well, but cant find it, but would make sense to retain that from the spear-3. Though this source does suggest a navigation system using the IR/EO sensor
SPEAR GLIDE will forgo a turbojet engine and will have a full calibre kinetic penetrator. At the front end of the missile, the radio frequency (RF) seeker has been swapped out with an EO/IR seeker, allowing the missile to do image-based navigation in GNSS denied environments.
The wording though, implies it maybe a backup to GNSS if GNSS is blocked
MBDA only mentions the GNSS and the image navegation.
Did you read?
"it is only GPS and have image for navegation "
Your own source, explain to me how that only works with GNSS and image navigation
Read whole articles before claiming stuff, literaly last paragraph
Based upon MBDAs own experience with the Brimstone and the subsequent dual-mode addition as well as:
It is capable of engaging a wide range of static and mobile targets in the most challenging operational environments, including soft and moderately hardened fixed sites. A fire-and-forget capability with multiple engagement modes, it provides a high platform load-out, for mass and saturation effects.
I think SAL is reasonably safe bet
Do you realize that even GBU can be used against moving targets? there is ways to predict movements.
How is it using GPS in GNSS denied environments
It has an IR/IO seeker to help guide it
It’s not GPS only

The “image for navegation”… already said it on my first post.
GNSS guided weapons are fire and forget
With the IR/IO seeker
So the seeker is used for terminal
This doesnt imply that it is used for therminal guidance, they only mentions navigation.
