At the moment, the cost is entirely based upon the most expensive thing equipped and nothing else.
If I had free reign on the SP cost I would:
Drop the base cost of aircraft down a bit (though increase the cost of A2G weapons accordingly)
Remove all SP cost for A2A missiles (except maybe from the 12.0 Fox-3 carriers in a downtier)
Have SP costs be accumlative of each and every A2G weapon equipped (so a greater mix, increases cost further, especially notable with things like the KH-38 + FAB combo on the Su-30)
Have quantity of weapons affect SP cost (though Id do it after a certain amount to increase costs)
Have weapon costs change depending on BR (do ground belts or unguided bombs really need the same SP cost at 11.0+ that they do at 2.0?)
agreed. High tier CAP should be only slightly more then a SPAA. If you have no air to ground it should be possible to first spawn in aircraft. You would have way more people playing groundRB just for the air-to-air, and thus CAS would have to work harder.
Yeah, I can see an argument to stopping first spawn, just because gun strafing would be abused.
But why something like the Sea Harrier FA2 with 4x AMRAAM (and so no gun, no rockets and no bombs) costs 10x what an IRIS-T SLM or equivalent costs, is completely beyond me.
The Mig-29M wouldnβt be anything crazy though, mechanical radar and stuff makes it barely better than the SMT. The Mig-35S would make far more sense at least it gets a PESA
