They wouldn’t be meta, but I’d like more MiG-29s in the game. We only have like, 4 unique ones spread across 3 tech trees, and they’re all just kinda meh atm.
They should rework the mig29s. I still don’t know why we have to have nerfed mig fm for realism meanwhile the f16 is still a ufo because snail can’t do relaxed stability.
The grey skin the Chinese put on their Flankers is so good looking.
Have they improved the ray tracing this update? Just looking back at some screenshots from before Leviathans and from ones after and I swear there’s been some improvement.
Again it’s not a major difference but it definitely looks like there’s been some improvements to it.
Clean screenshots
Short answer: yes

They did, and they also made posts about it.
Unfortunately, still too much for my RTX 3060 xD
Theorically, I can run it with upscaling and frame generation; however, I get ocassional stuttering and game crashes.
Honestly it still runs weird on my 3080, I turn it on and it will run around 100fps but loading in and out of the hangar or switching vehicles absolutely kills my performance only to go back up after restarting the game or by turning ray tracing off and back on.
Damn I don’t know how I missed that section of it. I literally commented about the overall performance being rubbish too.
My reading comprehension also seems to be rubbish half the time.
Yep! The weird thing is, I get those even if I only enable RT, but everything disabled/minimum.
That’s not the ray tracing
I mean, it’s not the main issue
It’s the implementation of DX12 into Dagor engine
It tends to fix your performance to single digit FPS numbers with some chance after any “loading” process. It can also do this only while using scope or only in 3rd-person view. It’s kinda funny to see 300-500 FPS in a 3rd-person view and freaking 8 fps in scope with 100% load of my 5080. It happens with and without ray tracing.
And Gaijin has done nothing about it for…almost a year i guess.
DX12 in war thunder is much less stable than DX11. My guess it’s because Dagor engine uses only 1 thread of your CPU to process all graphics, and DX12 heavilly utilises parallelization, which the engine at some point just can’t handle well enough
Pls delete this comparament mechanics in next major! Nobody dont need to penetrate armour to kill ship.
This mechanics delete all another mechanics and any game interest.
Umm is that a f117 with a missile?
Oh dang… wait is that in grb or arb
Custom URL mission. Set up the S-75 SAM site in there and used that as the missile.
Was trying to recreate the shootdown of the F-117 over Yugoslavia. Did try and get 2 missiles to fire at the same time but the AI just wasn’t having it and would launch about 20 at once if I set it any higher than 1. The mission editor is weird sometimes.
Cant say I’ve ever had any issues in DX12 with maxed out settings on my 5080.
Locked fps at 144 never stutters and haven’t crashed once in like 6 months
Im normally the same (I dont totally max out, but its pretty close) and Im close to that kind of FPS range (I average probably more like 100 FPS) but ever since this major. Im getting consistant crashes with DX12 but only in ARB. Not had a single crash yet in GRB or NRB
Would be great to see some actual weight put on the price to spawn certain things…
Maybe Gaijin can explain to me why a Gripen with 2 IR missiles and 4 AGMs costs the same as an F-16 fully loaded with 6 AGMs 2 LGBs and IR missiles? Or an F-15 or even a Su-34…
Gaijin need to start to add a value to each weapon loaded to stop this inequality.
