i mean, vehicles can be rearranged to make a space for a line, even with the gaps its hard to put most of the unique stuff.
other than that we can get a horizontal scrollable tt, like excel.

It’ll always be a matter of money. And when some of your highest spending playerbases come from the west they’ll likely just decide to avoid the absolute landmine that is a Ukrainian sub tree altogether.
Sadly I don’t think there’s the space for such a line right now, with Gaijin enforcing a limited 5 line system that barely fits one nation and already is used for both Britain and South Africa.
But maybe with a reworked subtree system this could be solved.
Suggestion (
shameless self-advertisement)
This way India could get a proper research tree for the many vehicles the nation has to offer, while still being combined with the British and South African nations.
i would tbh, prefer horizontally scrollable TT. this will give barely any recognition to subtrees and make each foldered nation feel a bit empty.
but its still a good idea.
It was established within the last two updates (OSA, AMD 35 PaK, CLOVIS) that sufficient whining by the community will lead to vehicles being granted.
A dangerous precedent, from which we can no longer escape.
Me neither, many nations really don’t fit the five line system as is. Though for additional lines I prefer the collapsible premium section idea, which would give two more techtree lines without needing two scroll bars.
But after that there’s still nations that could really use even more lines than that. Take Britain for example, the full British tree would already use 9 lines. While this does include South Africa, that’s still significantly more than Gaijin could reasonably fit into 5 lines, and is even a very tight fit with 7 lines.
Subtrees in this system really don’t exist in that sense anymore. Instead it’s more akin to having multiple nations share lineups. There’s an Italian tree, there’s a Hungarian tree and there’s a Romanian tree, they just happen to share lineups.
Nothing specifically says Italy is the “main” tree here, besides the fact that it’d be larger for having more vehicle options.
Which then also wouldn’t be much of an issue. A 3 line tree now is borderline unplayable, but a 3 line tree with the reworked system is fully viable since those lineups can be expanded with other nations, the same way as subtrees do now, except with more space and autonomy for all involved nations.
That’s probably because it’s not just my idea, but made with the input of many other players so far. If you have any ideas for improvement yourself feel free to add them under the suggestion, I can always use some help or feedback.
Should’ve honestly been their sub tree, more space for Indian vehicles.
Yep, for air it can easily fill the two remaining lines… actually even there it’s almost cramped because India has 3 lines worth of planes
TBF its not a historically accurate Finnish Hornet and is entirely fake.
It uses the early 2000’s cockpit from when JHMCS was added to all production model Legacy Hornets while using Aim 9L, a missile Finland never used. It is a minor thing but to call it accurate is still technically wrong. I feel the reason they went pre MLU 1 is because MLU 1 and 2 have unique huds and changes as Patria were the ones to update the 90’s era cockpits to a modern standard. Its far more likely gaijin had no interest to put that much effort into it when they could simply move to MLU 2 essentially an equivalent F-18C to the current model just an update later. MLU 1 is more than likely planned to be sold as a premium if i had to guess. MLU 2 currently unless 9X is added fails to follow gaijins rule for major differences as stated why they denied the Gripen C. Fox 3 being the only difference between the C and A on launch. (Referring to swedish Gripen C) as it stands right now Sweden has been the weakest air nation in terms of vehicles and actually playing to the Meta. For me i don’t care id like to see them actually be worth playing but i have literally any other nation to play and actually have fun but this logic applies to most nations every other update.
My biggest gripe isnt that the Finnish Hornet is just worthless in its current implementation to the TT. (Though it does annoy me) rather its the fact gaijin are actively skipping the first uniquely Finnish modernization of the Hornet which when it comes to trees getting copy and paste and useful additions if i could choose between a vehicle that fills a role and is unique and historically important im gonna choose the best model i can. This would be like asking for a new tank for a TT and choosing the worst model because you didn’t want the better nodel. Its a poor decision and Smins response to add this differences is completely redundant given that MLU 1 is even more unique than a 1994 export Hornet.
not sure we should be counting Luxembourg anyways
what happened?
OSA, clovis, and the AMD got added to multiple nations after the community begged to get a vehicle they used.
Basically this means nations could ask for any vehicle their country developed.
Chally 3 to Germany, Begleitpanzer to sweden, ect ect stuff thats probably gonna cause a riot when it starts to get out of hand.
Would love to see a push for more Dutch equipment in the sub tree.
Future potential trees or sub trees are always under consideration, but we dont have any news to report at this moment on those in particular no.
Any plans to fix the lack of any aircraft at 5.x sweden?
Additionally with the R2Y2’s leaving us should we expect the Ho Ri’s to eventually leave when Thai ground is added? (If you haven’t gotten them yet id grab them, Ho Ri is insanely fun)
A sub tree doesn’t necessarily mean a whole line is required. It just means those vehicles will be present in that particular nation. The vehicles can go anywhere inside of the existing 5 lines (if its a nation that has 5 lines).
CLOVIS was planned from the get go for both France and Germany. OSA was a longer term plan for the UK, with the Indian skin already made, just brought forward following feedback.
AMD 35 Pak was too reconsidered given the feedback we received on it and that it was after all, a German modification too.
None of these vehicles are however event vehicles. Which the Class 3P is.
i understood that but the question is, is it technically viable that we can see a dedicated subtree line in the futre?
Any chance other nations can still get the 2S1? Germany was skipped when it was added despite them using the vehicle
We are always working to gap fill where possible, however as you would know, we don’t announce specific plans outside of blogs and major news.
