Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

If you’re in an F-15/EFT, yes. Rafale can kind of do it, but it’s speed (altitude) + AIM-120, otherwise, you have to go rat mode and wait for the SPAMRAAM brainlets to die before you get to do anything.

You can occasionally slap someone who’s not paying attention with a R-77/PL-12 within about 20km, but that’s not always a guarantee.

  1. BARS is not really an 80’s radar. At best a single non-M N011 existed for testing, and it didn’t even get testing until the 90’s. Production of the BARS didn’t begin until the early 2000’s. It’s a good, not great radar.

  2. TVC will be great for the Flankers. If you’re playing like a rat to begin with, having more alpha in your turn, and a better turn speed at lower speeds will help you against Gripens and F-16’s.

  3. R-77 is what’s holding back Russia right now, and it’s not even the worst ARH in the game. R-77M or R-77-1 whatever people want to call it, is what’s needed if Gaijin doesn’t address the game engine’s issues with the drag modelling.

They are different missiles.

Idk what to say about the ones you’ve listed baring China and Israel. But I do believe there could be a massive rework to Israel since they no longer have starter premiums.

i think Chile could come for Israel, idk who else would really make sense

Columbia maybe ?

maybe both, who knows

The N011M BARS is a PESA radar…it’s going to be night and day better then the current 27SM radar! Way faster to refresh contacts and see targets at range.

TVC will be very good when you make it to the end of the match and it comes down to small number of players. People who try to use it at the start of a match and run right into the furball of course will get smoked…they are using it wrong.

It’s possible missiles will get their distinctive engine burner effects too. Some improvements have already been made to the overall effects. But individual colours and effects remain possible.

A 2-step matchmaker only removes the extremes of balance, it can’t create issues that aren’t already there, any perceived issues you think it creates are issues already present.

Now yes it does limit further decompression somewhat, however Gaijin have shown that they don’t want to decompress as much as we want, their idea of balance still involves full uptiers fighting vehicles you stand no chance against, and this isn’t just at top tier, this runs throughout the whole tree.

A 2 step matchmaker has a similar effect to full tree decompression to BR 20, only with less granularity, and a much smaller effect on the matchmaker.

Yeah decompression is better, but that also requires significantly more work to pull off

Cant wait for south America TT, with Brazil, Argentina (not a sub-tt for Germany, confirmed), Uruguay, Paraguay, etc…

Although, a combined African arms TT would also be nice!
Botswana, Namibia, Djibouti, Somalia, Morocco, Western Sahara, Algeria, Tsjaad, Mauritia, Nigeria, Niger, Ivorycoast, Ghana, etc…

Then you’ll be waiting for a very long time

Well… Gaijin said they are going to add more nationS in the cm-disclosures, just not this year. This year will be focused on sub-tt’s and enhancing them.

Doesn’t mean it would be a popular one tho, like we have Israel because a dev modeled the Magachs in their spare time remember iirc.

So yeah the thing to look forward to next would be either a South Korean or a Pakistan sub.

Yeah, but LatAm and Africa are not likely to be full on tech trees, LatAm will likely get split between subtrees and one offs, whereas Africa is unlikely to see much representation at all. Poland is most likely I think for a new nation but with India ruled out I don’t see what else they could do, that’s “worthy”

For subs, i’m waiting personally for North-Korea, South-Korea and Singapore for JP.

Also, unique indiginous designs for Thailand, Hungary, Finland, South-Africa, Taiwan and Benelux for their respective techtrees.
Also a different approach to them, like having different sub folders for the sub-TT.

Well… imho there were only a few standalone tt’s left…

Benelux, Poland, African and south-America.

Benelux: has good sub-tt options, big and good lineups for ground, air, helicopter, naval, submarines.

Poland: good ground, air, oke-ish navy and good helicopter.

African: good ground, air, naval, helicopter (with most african countries in the tt).

South-america: good ground, air, naval, helicopter.

Benelux is a sub and would never likely move out of France.

A total South American tree wouldn’t be possible due to the one main nation factor.

Africa as said by D7101 hehe, would get almost nothing in game perhaps an odd one off but that it.

Poland is the only real option here

They don’t have a top tier worth MBT iirc

A Spanish tree with Brazil as a sub would work though
