id rather not have a nation sub though, since it takes away from the potential additions of others, but allows for more US stuff in the US tree
How about a combined Greece and Turkey TT? Would be quite funny to watch.
Now that would be a riot
we do have F-16C upgraded past V standard, but i dont think we have block 52+
id rather not have rafales and mirage 2k in the US tree though, same with leopards just more F-15 14 16 18, and more cold war jets
Like I said, you either have a subtree that is 90% US stuff, or you have one that isn’t, and then the US tree bloats like mad
true, but who really needs an F-15SG? japan has the F-2 and Gripen E (Thailand) as additions to give CAS ability. China has more F-16, and J-10, and Flanker, that are capable CAS upcoming. US has pretty strong defence ties to singapore, and the F-15SG pilots were trained in the US to boot lol
what if, they had MIC subtree? they can pick and choose what they add after all, they have done this before.
Japan could actually very much benefit from the F-15SG, given that they already have the F-15J, it seems like a great way to add to them without “destroying uniqueness”
it sort of has nothing do with japan though. and you said it yourself, they already have an F-15, they got 1 more coming up too. and also F-2, Gripen E, all of which are going to be solid CAS
The simple fact is the US has no need for a sub-tree(besides most of the common asked for nations have a lot of non-US stuff) and saying you want just single additions from a nation with the rest of it vehicles ending up in other trees is hating on a nation.
As not have anything in game is better then being ripped across TTs and have the stuff with your nations flag fight eachother.
And the US has 3 already with at least 1 more coming, likely more than that, what’s your point?
Not only that but it also favs nations which all of us don’t want, If the US get a sub with only their tech getting added then that nothing but pure favoritism
wait until someone suggests India + Pakistan
lets be real here how many qatari players are there to hate on gaijin if the F-15QA goes to US but the Qatar Rafale goes to france. same with Saudi F-15SA and EFT.
also, a lot of this stuff was first tested in the US, in the case of the F-15SA it was part of USAF too
If you want a one-off addition to the US tech tree, look no further than the F-15QA, Qatar can never be a subtree on account of it having the Rafale, Typhoon and F-15QA so a one-off addition would be fine from it
maybe they should at least try to keep F-15 in US tree? which is where its from anyways?
I mean it’s already an integral part of Israel and Japan, which keep it away from them when they already have it? why should the US get 8 different versions of the F-15 from several different countries but Japan can only have its domestic ones
I mean, the F-2 carries 8 JDAM at most and the Thai Gripen E won’t exist until 2029 (not sure what CAS it would bring though), so I’d argue that any F-15E equivalent would be nice here, since the current best CAS are worse F-16C equivalents and there isn’t really any other aircraft to change that from either nation.
The closest option I could think of would be an Indonesian Rafale, assuming that they end up getting them in 2026 as planned and do get AASMs with them, and even then it’s a stretch to call it an F-15E equivalent in CAS, while also joining the Thai Gripen E in the “aircraft that don’t exist yet” club, even if 2026 isn’t as bad.
That being said, I’m still all for the US getting an F-15E with GE engines, AESA and JSOW. They probably prototyped it before Singapore bought theirs, so it should be fair game to get it even with the F-15SG going somewhere else.
same # of AASM (which are better than mavericks) as the F-15E so it kind of is equivalent
id have to look into it a bit more, but they proabbly made a F-15SG for temporary US use like they did with the F-15SA
You know it’s funny, with War Thunder I find this happen most often.
“Major” exporter nation people: cries that other nations are getting their tech(they gave it to everyone)
“Minor” exporter nation people: happy that others are getting they tech they exported, showing off how the vehicle did ok outside of the nation(3 nations only ever used it including the one that made it)
