The thing is, with how it’s going irl the Sweden tree won’t get anymore top tier until F-35 which isn’t gonna happen soon

That is true of many trees, the US will be perfectly fine waiting for the F-15EX, the F/A-18E may end up being better than you think as well, given that it should be your first rank 9 aircraft, but if not you can enjoy what we had with the Tornado, you’ll get caught up much sooner than the rest of us did
I wouldn’t bet on that to hard m8 since they only allow Sweden tested things so a heavily nerffed EF could make it’s way to them lol
No one else in the world operates the C, and there are only a few nations that can get the B outside the US, those being Italy, Japan, and Britain
what makes the F-18C a rank 9? or the E?
This can be said for any Nation and no one has implied that Japan should be the best - but at least equal to existing.

It’s a definite 4.5gen, and it justifies a new rank just as much as the Tornado did
Typhoon? Rafale? they are both rank 8 jets, doesnt really make sense to have rank 9 until 5th gen and very late 4th gen like rafale f4/5, eft T4, and F-15EX (i think QA may be 1st rank 9 premium)
Rafale and Typhoon are also gen 4.5… do you think they could be moved to rank 9?

The F-14 was rank 7 for 6 months before rank 8 was added, the Typhoon and Rafale will just be moved up when they add the new rank
idk, i still dont think it justifies a whole new rank, once rank 8 gets really fleshed out sure, but not for a while, and i dont think super hornet will be the one to cause it. maybe F-22

Looking at the UK, France, Germany and Italy tech tree both Rafale and Typhoon can very well be brought up
Only because of how intentionally crippled the Gripens are in terms of weaponry (for good reason may I add)
If 5th gen is the first rank 9 then most nations only get 1 ever, rank 9 starting with 4.5gen and ending at 5th gen makes more sense to me, or you add rank 10 for late 4.5 and 5th gen
rank 8 is perfectly fleshed out enough to warrant moving on

no, i think late 4.5 and all 5th gen will be rank 9, but still more space left in rank 8
