Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

Was it that the MiG-21 couldn’t mount them physically, as the ability had been removed, or just by treaty.

Either way Gaijin have been more generous about that sort of thing recently, it’s just Finland haven’t received anything in a while

We have another F-15E left to add, false statement

F-15I objectively better than F-15E even now anyways

Peace treaty in 1947 prevented Finland from mounting Bombs to their fighter and limited how many fighters they could have. Finland mounted weapons to trainers to bypass theis treaty but if they had flares or were on more advanced platforms they would be brraking the treaty, this is why they invested heavily in the Hawk. The mig 21 could mount them, they just weren’t allowed. Again gameplay and balance was 2nd to historical accuracy.

What?
How is the Hawk not British?

Well you can have your finnish vehicles ;)

The subtree to end all subtrees

Finland is the biggest joke of the game and gaijin doesn’t even try to hide it. If they got any actual useful additions recently maybe the opinion would be changed.

Like I said, that has changed more recently, as you yourself pointed out with the implementation of the Gripen, specifically the SAAF one, balance clearly came before accuracy in regard to that, so there is still hope that a Finnish Hawk gets some flares

and I still raise the possibility that the Soviet supplied MiG-21s were modified slightly to enforce the treaty on Finland even in the event of a conflict?

They weren’t modified, i hate to tell you that but they weren’t, even some.of the museums have them mounted with spare display bombs. The service reports even state they could mount them.

Operated, it isn’t operated by Britain or a British subtree, so it’s addition in the research tree would theoretically be worse than any Indian vehicle, like I said it would be a perfectly fine premium though

fair enough, like I said there is still hope for it, Gaijin have seemingly changed their view on these things since the Finnish MiG-21 was added

and the Finnish premium tree is the biggest joke going, how are all of their domestic vehicles premium :/

And if that were true why not undo the change? Why, additionally gaijin could’ve added the MGBT instead since that model never mounted bombs and would have the ECM pod or in this case give us the pod with the spare countermeasures and AIM 9 missiles on the mig 21. Again no care was put into the tree and its treatment since introduction has shown no change.

RAF Hawk T Mk.1 & Hawk T Mk.1A, maybe

But Red Arrows aerobatic displays for premium tree ?

Hawk T Mk.1A from RAF operated

British Aerospace Hawk 100 from aussie and south african could add to great britain tree

I mean the reason for all of that is that it has been neglected and forgotten, and they probably don’t receive much backlash about missing bombs on a MiG-21, because most people wouldn’t use them anyways, but if they do add the Hawk to Finland and it has no flares, there will be backlash to that, because people will play it and realize it’s useless without them

Well, uh, that certainly is a way to view it and I can’t really argue with that, even though I completely disagree.

What I will say tho is that if it can’t be a TT vehicle, it definitely should be a SQV and not premium-only

We’re talking about the Hawk 200, which isn’t operated by Britain or any British subtree

and I mean in the premium side of the tree, typing “premium/event/squadron” every time seems a bit much

Fair lol

What, the same plane as before but with new AAMs and maybe a new GBU, great addition, totally worth the 400k RP

People will play? Do you even know what nation you’re talking about? Nobody plays the swedish TT, people play the premiums and top tier, the actual TT is left to rot aside from 4 people.

OK, correction, a big youtuber will make a video on it and then Gaijin will change it to have CMs
