wouldn’t india as a subtree to anyone pave the way for the Rafale’s addition as well?
I feel gaijin may add the Hawk MK.51A to Switzerland, Britain, and Finland and just upgrade them all to the Finnish standard and call it a day. Or they give us MK.66
Having them all specc’d the same would definitely be a gaijin-move
To anyone ? It’s been announced for Britain a few updates ago, But yeah the Rafale’s, Su-30MKI Mig-29s, Mirage 2000 Britain has a high chance of getting them.
Honestly with how bare bones Finland is i wouldn’t be suprised if they skip the Finnish model since it has AIM-9M and no countermeasures.
I’m not as well read on ground battles but looking at the wiki, I assume that was done because there was nothing British or South African that would fill the gap, I’m not sure the same gap exists for air, but tbh I have nothing against the inclusion, though I don’t see how it’s better than Indian vehicles as it isn’t British and it isn’t subtree
not necessarily, just because there is a subtree doesn’t mean every vehicle from it will be added, though it is entirely possible, the fact that the Typhoon exists means it’s probably quite unlikely
Hawk 200 Early in 80’s limited WVR missile and none AMRAAM & 5th gen WVR missile ?
Hawk 200 (late production) in 2000’s with 5th gen IR missile capable and AMRAAM. right ?
They may give it countermeasures like they did with the F-5C, with the same reason given that the airframe can take them, and it would truly suck otherwise, not that I assume they would
More likely to see Gnat and early Hawks before hawk 200, additionally other nations need the Hawk and Gnat far more than 1 nation with the 200 so it makes more sense for gaijin to add the models they can C&P before adding something that only one nation gets
Nope, you don’t get to flip this on us when it was the bitching and moaning of US mains that awarded those engines, not our variant existing, the ratio of F-15I players to F-15E ones is about 1:30 so before you come back with the ‘oh but israel would be unfair with better engines’, you would face about 2 per game tops, lucky if you even see 1 a team given how many people neglect israel.
If your camp hadn’t made such a fuss, top tier would be far more tame and you would’ve had another F-15E left to add, but instead we got the AMRAAM lobbing US players bogging down lobbies and being practically useless to their teams in ARB
Again they haven’t given any other Finnish vehicles this treatment so theres no reason to assume that would be the case. And trust me, the finnish vehicles could benefit from that treatment
Has a TT equivalent. Wish they’d do that more often.
Only after community backlash, considering the D model should’ve had them. Again its a buggy mess and it doesn’t even have the international cockpit lmao. Maybe id bother playing it if the matchmaker was better but i don’t really care enough, i want Drakens more…
The only Finnish vehicles that can receive flares have them, don’t they?
Finnish Mig 21 had bombs removed because irl they couldn’t mount them due to their 1947 treaty. I could list other minor armament examples but again with no prior or recent evidence of gaijin extending the olive branch of balance i see no reason to believe Finland would get flares on their Hawks. This is more so just a logical approach.
I would like to see an expasion to both the suomi air and ground trees, currently so underwhelming that I can’t even bring myself to grind vehicles out of national pride anymore.
At least more varaints of the Mig-21, Draken, a Hawk at some point, hornet (D preferably since i love the Ilmaavoimat twin seat jet) and a load more props for air since there really isn’t much at all right now
Was it that the MiG-21 couldn’t mount them physically, as the ability had been removed, or just by treaty.
Either way Gaijin have been more generous about that sort of thing recently, it’s just Finland haven’t received anything in a while
We have another F-15E left to add, false statement
F-15I objectively better than F-15E even now anyways
Peace treaty in 1947 prevented Finland from mounting Bombs to their fighter and limited how many fighters they could have. Finland mounted weapons to trainers to bypass theis treaty but if they had flares or were on more advanced platforms they would be brraking the treaty, this is why they invested heavily in the Hawk. The mig 21 could mount them, they just weren’t allowed. Again gameplay and balance was 2nd to historical accuracy.
