I wouldn’t be too concerned, J-10B used AL-31FN Series 3, which has improved thrust (135KN).
Absolutely love seeing the entirety of those little tank engagements in Air Sim get wiped out be a single A-10, F-15E, or Torando lol
Chinese MAWs, Chinese Engines, Chinese AESA, better chinese IR AAMs and better Chinese RWR are all things i look forwards too in future additions

Not sure, cause some states AL31 as 134 kn any way and it is channel loss that does the rest, whilst we know AL31F series 3 should be better, no evidence is for sure to prove so. Let’s hope for WS 10 beyond anything. Also crazy to think, but J10 has been in service for nearly 2 decades now.

Was any J-10B ever refitted with WS-10?
I know there was the TVC demonstrator which had a WS-10 derivative.
J-10B was made in so few numbers before J-10C production started.

Are all MAWs pretty much useless in game or is it just the stupid Chinese jets that do shit cause the bad CM count, I basically have it dump all my CMs within seconds when seeing a friendly fly by me or a flare, even by myself.
Now that’s an addition I could get behind, I just wish the Brimstones were better
MAWs is useful so long as you don’t slave CMs, it can drain a Typhoon if you’re not careful with it
I mean with gaijin and how they added the rafale/typhoon (skipped straight to modern variants) i am beginning to think we’ll see a J-10C since it’s so much better researched than J-10B and allows for future possibilities in terms of armament too

Not exactly, Su-27SM uses F-M1 which is the engines on the Su-34 as well.
AL-31FN was a variant specifically tailored for the J-10, the difference is in the position of the oil cooler, but also slightly more thrust compared to the original AL-31F (124KN vs 122KN)
FN Series 3 was an upgrade in both service life and performance of the AL-31FN for future J-10 variants.

I always, literally always turn it off, the useful part though is the missile warning, has saved me a fair few times and that is what I like about MAWs, massively boosts situational awareness (will be much more useful if gaijin stopped making it pick up flares)
maybe, considering J-10B is not that different with J-10C. but we will need one J-10 for future with it’s full capability(PL-15/10), so better not
