Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

It was based off the Kfir

no, it’s just a long pylon, you can see it’s shape.

Not quite, the Kfir is a Mirage 5 based platform, the Cheetah a Mirage 3, the project was essentially an adjacent devoplement to produce a Kfir like aircraft but on an older airframe. Overall they’re relatively similar, but almost every detail is different.

You can see the special tail fins belonging to PL17 at the tail of the missile

it pylon’s retaining buckle, it’s front shape is this

and the black spots on bottom are where missile/bomb linked to.

This week, my guess

There is the “City of Hobart” Aussie Mirage, which has an Avon Mk67 engine. But they also have normal IIIC or IIIE too.

I’d rather have Cheetah’s instead of the same Mirages tho

The F-15SA also very useful gap filler, so the US actually could use that advanced eagle.

F-15SA, could be added like the WTD 61 stuff was added for Germany

F-15QA “assigned to the US Air Force”
Because guess what?

All 3 ARE/have been flown by the USAF technically

Find me proof of any Japanese ties to the F-15SG, let alone a JASDF squadron flying them

F-15SE just exists

I’m well aware of it, but it would be maybe a full br below the EX, and also probably a squadron vehicle (I want them to keep adding the unique stuff as squadron, like F-117, so main tree can have more conventional vehicles, but squadron stuff can be more interesting)

Oh hell yeah I want silent eagle as soon as stealth is implemented
Should probably be an optional F-15E upgrade rather than a necessary grind step though

Flying prototype had only CWB and some dye. Not so much stealth

Absolutely agree on US operated versions of these aircraft. If there’s a gap they fill between late F-15C/Es and the F-15EX and have been operated by the US in any capacity there’s really nothing against them.

We have many vehicles that were trialed or prototyped already, so something like an F-15SA in US colors (that look amazing by the way) is nothing out of the ordinary.

But I don’t agree with this, at least not the way you put it. In a subtree, it’s not about “did Japan operate it”, because the nation is no longer just Japan, it’s Japan + any subtree nation. If Singapore is such a subtree nation, then an F-15SG can be added to that tree.

That being said, why argue at all? If it’s operated by a US squadron and the Singaporean air force, why would it have to be one or the other in game?
I can absolutely see “F-15SG” as part of a Singapore subtree, while US gets “F-15SG 428th”.

But just for fun, there’s also the F-15FX for Japan, which was a proposed early Advanced Eagle variant based on later F-15Es (about comparable to an F-15SR). Obviously this was never actually bought in favor of the F-35

Fair enough, would work.

And don’t worry, F-15 JSI probably coming anyways

It is several ways better than F-15E. It will compete against things like Su-30SM

gaijin would copy paste the C.10 and call it a day.

btw, were approaching 2 months and the cockpit on the C.10 STILL has the frames instead of the single piece glass…
