Yes, last time there was a decal it contained Mig-29 etc, shortly after it was here…
I think all of the vehicles were already identified earlier.

L85A2 is atleast serviceable now. Not great but not terrible at least.
L85A3 is just a minor upgrade and not that widely adopted still.
UK MoD will go the 417 route, don’t you worry. Or atleast some AR variant, 15 or 18, DI or piston, from LMT or KAC. Already got L129 and L403 so just a matter of time or pride.

More a standardisation really, most of the issues with the A2 (warped bolt carrier rails, not enough addon rails, etc) where fixed via UORs, the A3 basically just rolls them all into one package and upgrades to newer standards where appropriate.
Not for a while, budget isn’t there and the L85 is generally solid with no shortages of spares. The recent Ranger purchases where more for training external forces rather than any change in requirements for a rifle, and wasn’t even a replacement might I add, serves alongside the L85.
Nowhere its said L403 is a replacement… more like ad hoc
And as I said, matter of time and mainly pride.
