@Hyrikul when can we expect the F-8P for France and what could it carry?
is that the APU60-2 rail for R60 or a domestic one?
Sadly this info is from the Wiki page and it’s wrong because it combines both IAR-93B and J-22 armaments
Those were never mounted on the IAR-93B. There were plans for the R-60 though, but never materialized.
Here it’s also wrong, because S-24 are 240mm rockets.
LPR-122 is the name of the rocket pylon, which fires modified BM-21 “Grad” rockets
Why would Singapore go to Israel though? All of their combat aircraft are American, like their F-15SG, that I think should go to the US but the rest of it can go to whoever
I don’t know. Probably, a Soviet license. The Romanians used R-60, K-13 and LPR-122 missiles, as shown in the picture:
Those are for the 120mm rockets
Besides the fact that the US is at best the second to last, and at worst the last nation to need a subtree, their vehicles often feature Israeli modifications and armament.
Such as for example the Rafael Samson RCWS on their Hunter AFV or their F-16D+ that is equipped to a standard akin to the F-16I and likely related.
Combine that with the fact that Israel very much does need a subtree and there’s a more than valid reasoning. Though I personally think with subtrees being regional/themed Israel will probably get a combination of Latin American countries instead.
No, F-16D+ from Lockheed martin with US avionics, just bc it’s a twin seater with CFT doesn’t mean it’s an I or variant of it.
And tbh their vehicles should go to country of origin, they don’t have quite enough for a subtree. If there are vehicles heavily modified by Israel then sure, but afaik there arent
This jet lacks flares right? 8 air to air missiles on a jet that doesn’t have flares can be quite unbalanced. Even if the missiles are AIM-9B people are going to complain about the number of missiles.
Yes, those are the standard APU-13 pylons next to A-91 missiles which are copies of the R-3S
The double ones, are called LPR-122 which fires modified 122mm rockets from the BM-21 “Grad”
Considering that in the preview it only has 2 rockets, and in the game it will most likely be like that, then the br should be fine
The manufacturer, according to NovA29, reports that they can also use air-to-air missiles. So, we need to wait for the devblog
Yes, the IAR-93B didn’t had flares. Only the modernized J-22 had gotten countermeasures dispensers.
I don’t think Gaijin will add 8 air-to-air missiles to it. The missile were tested in the last years of it’s service and not that much information can be found about the 8 of them. The only “primary” source if you can call it that, is from the INCAS (National Institute for Aerospace Research)
Yes, I never said that I couldn’t use air-to-air missiles
I am generally of the opinion that in some way all nations should have a fixed home so they can form coherent lineups with what they have.
Singapore especially have very uniquely equipped and modified aircraft and fully domestic ground vehicles. It’d be unfair to split them up and have the Leopard 2SG fight the Hunter AFV while being bombed by F-15SGs all placed in different countries despite being entirely unique variants that very much do justify a coherent subtree (or part of an ASEAN tree).
That’s so outdated argument especially since we are getting aircraft that was developed and in service by multiple nations.
Where would you put aircraft like the Tornado ?
In their multiple countries of origin?
