Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

They all are currently full tech trees, but f15sg is an American designed and made jet with American avionics and weapons systems, only thing Singaporean about it would be the pilot and livery

Japan isn’t full, it’s only “full” from rank 1 to 4 after that it’s a real estate.

I meant it is a tech tree and not a sub tree or anything, and anyways Japan has meta F-15 single seater, and has an amazing jet in the form of the F-2 that it could get instead of a Singaporean F-16. Argument for SG to USA is that it is a step above current F-15E in some areas but a step down from the upgraded E and EX on others.

Now, if F-15 SG came with upgraded USAF F-15 i would t have much of an issue though, it could be a nice event vehicle in the far future, or a squadron vehicle, but tech tree should always be US stuff

But didn’t you just call those 4 nations full ?

So what’s the US then smaller than Israel ?

It is still a US jet, with no modifications done by any other country present in game, logical choice is USA squad or event, but id prefer event since I like special jets being squadron vehicles

Need seems to be second priority now in a lot of cases.

Israel simply has more need for it in the future.

Ok so how come Italy got Russian stuff ?
If it’s Russian shouldn’t be in Russia

Oh wait it’s not

They actually have a pretty good future for air tbh, upgraded F-15, F-16I, all good jets that they can get multiple distinct versions of, and since it doesn’t really have anything to do with them it would make more sense for it to go to USA

Hungary was a horrible decision, now Italy just has a full line of Soviet copy paste with some Soviet jets even soviets don’t get iirc.

And now people will always point to Hungarian leopard whenever any fixes to ariete are mentioned, although it isn’t a very good tank irl either if ppl here are to be believed

And the US has an even better future ahead, so it shouldn’t go to their tree except for maybe as an event vehicle years from now.

horrible decision or not the fact remains that A sub tree is a nation within a nation and all tech will be locked within nevermind who made it. If it was in service it will go there

But Singapore isn’t a subtree, I think any domestic or significantly domestically modified vehicles should go to Japan, the F-16D+ can go to US or Israel since it’s made by Lockheed martin but they do use python 5, and it shares some similarities with the I (being CFT and twin seater)

Oh really, then explain the leaks that keeps having Asean bobbing around from Japan to China and not to China now ? hmmm

There is a clear need of rank VI in the Italian tree so they could insert this vehicle into the tree if they wanted.

And also there is the fact that this vehicle can be a nice Yugoslavian premium vehicle if they had implemented the tree but somehow in the Italian tree because we assume Italians were friends with communist Romania after the ww2

If that happens I’ll just have to deal with it

@Nagisei I have reason to believe that an apg 77 flew before j/apg 1, do you have any dates on when the j/apg-1 first flew in general and when it first flew on an F-2?

Nevermind, it did fly before, but I did find something I think you’d be interested in https://apps.dtic.mil/sti/pdfs/ADA283773.pdf

It shows that there was independent US AESA radar development for fighters, but radar technology was transfered between Japan and USA, though this was mostly cost and manufacturing related.

Is it likely the Hornet will come in the next update? What will the Russian and Chinese equivilants be then?

Nice. No R530?

They were phased out by that time unfortunately. The pylons are also heavy and the French did everything they could to make this plane as fast as possible.
