Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

that’s not going to happen, you know why.

Germany is banking on Swiss tech tree, if that isn’t planned Germany will receive an F/A-18 the Canadian one makes sense with Gaijins decision to put the 2A4M and the future 2A6M in German tree

Nah. They won’t get any non-german built Canadian vehicles.

Britain aren’t cast iron on getting future Canadian vehicles

Canadian built stuff is quite likely. But CF-18 will only go to the US or UK trees.

I think hemisphere won’t be the best, but with a bit of work current subtrees could become a lot more interesting.

Instead of having “national but not really” trees, it should be factions of multiple properly national trees that simply share lineups.
Basically subtrees, but better.

I feel like that comment is missing a link.

There’s zero reason especially if your getting the Swiss variant

I’m not the Swiss tree hasn’t been confirmed

Brother Smin said loads of time the Swiss home is currently within Germany so you getting a Swiss one over a Canadian one is 100%

Swiss Hornet would make much more sense in the German tree than a Canadian one. The Canadian Leos went in the German tree as prems/event vehicles because they’re Leos.

Plus the F-111C has set a precedent for AUS jets being put in the UK tree.

Creating interchangeable lineups between several national tech trees would allow:

  1. a better roleplaying game
  2. if Israel is missing a damn LT, I’ll research one of the BR I need in another nation
  3. more people will be encouraged to research all the tech trees, to get what they need
  4. c&p would cease to exist: I mean, you can keep adding the same vehicles with modifications (even with small modifications it already turns it into a different vehicle), but you eliminate 100% of the pure c&p.
  5. Germany would have no more cas problems, and I could choose planes from its NATO allies for air support and not have to spam damn migs 19, migs 27 or su22. Those who like soviet planes can choose them anyway, but nobody is forced to.
  6. if Japan doesn’t have a plane, let each player choose the one they like, avoiding creating fictitious planes.
  7. If you want Yugoslavian or Hungarian vehicles, you add a tab with vehicles from those nations and that’s it. There will be no more nations with shortages in a certain specialty and everyone will be happy.
  8. simulator mode is dead anyway. As I said, going with CM11 and ZTT96 in the same lineup, in simulator, is a rip-off and not a simulation.

I forgot about the F-111C!

I meant to also say continents. Which is how that one modern WoT knockoff works iirc. Probably be the best way to go about it I think.
No matter what you’re basically just hamfisting a bunch of nations together for the sole reason of “shiny new thing”.

Hate that the game cant be balanced so we have Russian and British tanks on the same team.
We used to have nation specific match ups and the game was so much better for it. Now its just world of tanks

Isn’t that how it was in WW2 ?

By that logic then may i remind you of the Ram that just got added to britain?

If canadian vehicles were gonna go to germany then surely it would have went to them instead of the UK?

This whole precedent stuff completely falls on it’s head, when you remember GB couldn’t even get Swiss Hunter, despite being British lol.

I said that opens up the possibility of it. Gaijin will do what’s best for the game Germany need a Hornet.
Britain and the US currently don’t.

Britain is quickly running out of decent 9.7 Hunters it can get, First the Swiss one goes to germany and now the Singaporean one looks like its gonna go to either japan or china

The only ones left are the P.1109B (which wouldnt be that great) and the Omani hunters
