Yep, Turkey and Spain already have representation in the premium tree so it’s pretty likely we will see more of their vehicles in the future as tree filler.
I think Turkey would probably fit in better under Israel, Gaijin only gave Italy the TAF F-104 because of their odd policy of adding whatever operator nation they can think of for copy paste premiums, regardless of if said operator nation actually fits or not.
It’s a pretty irritating trend that could possibly ruin minor nations’ chances of going to their proper parent country or getting an independent/combined tree entirely.
I think you guys are just overinterpretating these additions. Spanish Centauro is nothing more than a vehicle of Italian origin used by Spain, same goes for F-104S TAF and Mangusta being used by Turkey.
Eh, it’s the same situation as the John Cockerill company, they export their turrets all over but that doesn’t necessarily mean that all the platforms that integrate their products should go to Belgium.
The Lynx with the same Hitfact turret would be a much better option because it was made with the potential of use within the Italian military, and this isn’t even considering the Centauro II and Ariete w/Hitfact.
I agree that their existence doesn’t confirm any sort of Turkish/Spanish further implementation into Italy, but like I said the choice to put these vehicles where they are today potentially subtracts their future addition into wherever Turkey or Italy would land in the future.
For example I suppose Gaijin could just copy paste something like the VRCC into a Spanish tree/subtree, but then you have a new issue of copy paste, which could unecessarily bloat top tier if said vehicles continue to be sold for their former nation as a premium.
Sub-trees as in reasearch lines and sub-fillers as in premium/event or singular techtree additions are 2 different things. Something like fillers from Spain are higly possible to be coming to Italy in my eyes (saame way as Denmark or Norway for Sweden) but Turkey is a bit of a strech.
Italy is the only logical place for such vehicle unless Turkey becomes either standalone TT or subtree of some other nation.
Lynx one can be added to Germany too.
Well for Turkey reason for their premiums being added is nothing more than the fact that Turkey is the only export operator of Italian F-104S and Mangusta
At the moment both the F-104S TAF and Mangusta seems to confirm that to be the case, but like Texas_Engineer_Mike said, it isn’t definitive proof that all future Turkish vehicles would go to Italy.
As we know, there are many different rumors and ongoing projects for subtrees/minor nation implementation floating around at the moment (BeNeLux, Thailand, Switzerland, India) so I can’t see Turkey coming very soon anyways.
Which makes sense from a premium standpoint, just saying that it means we may not see those vehicles in a Turkish tree that the community has been asking for unless Gaijin unlists them as Italian premiums.
If they cant see the Benelux being a candidate for a full nation then yea I can’t see any other country other than Poland to be the next independent one. Even with that I can’t see this happening for at least 2 years from now
Gaijin is always trying to get as much profit from each 3D model as possible, so the possibility to C&P one in the future to another TT is a huge advantage for them.
Obviously this can be attributed to Gaijin’s unwillingness to create an entirely new tree out of Benelux, Israel as the most recent came out incredibly unfinished and half-baked, so I highly doubt they would be up to put in even more effort for a Benelux one.
Imo Terminator 2020 specifically will most likely go to Israel as it was modernized with strong help from Israel and the project itself was highly insipred by Kurnass 2000 program
