Tbh I think a lot of air needs overhauls atp…
Yeah…
Bol isnt gonna get overhauled until everyone has a bol type when it comes to countermeasures more than likely so if anything it means we have to wait for russia to catch up.
Yeah, Unfortunately true. At least i hope the chaff gets buffed on it though. Gunna be a pain trying to defeat ARH in their current state
Unlikely
The only thing consistent about Gaijin is their inconsistency
Yeah… This is true
AESA is a ton of small radars working as one, because of that it doesn’t scan with a “wave” but shoots a lot of scanning pulses across whole area, you scan in all the ways at the same time
It much more sensitive so it’s much easier to detect incoming missiles
It can scan ground and distinguish vehicles from the background by their form, in case of F-2 radar it can scan air and ground simultaneously, it’s probably available for all AESA just but I am 100% sure only about F-2
In case of ground scanning it also can draw a high resolution map by radar but I doubt we will see that in game
It’s highly resistant to jaming and can do it by itself
It shouldn’t be possible to notch and also no multipathing effect near the ground
Since it’s basically an array of small radars you can lock on multiple targets, in case of F-2 it’s known to be 10+, based on what I know it should be possible to launch and guide multiple sparrows(Aim7)
And it can change frequency with every pulse(I don’t remember exact number but a lot of times per second) which makes it impossible to distinguish from background radio noise - you are completely invisible for any kind of RWR
But all that at the cost of static radar with wich you can lock targets only in 45degree FOV and scan in 60 degrees FOV(Thought EFT from what I remember put it AESA radar on a steering mechanism like normal radar)
There are a lot of missed details for the sake of it being simplier but if you really want to know about it it’s better to search for info by yourself
I still doubt that Invisible on RWR thing
it just goes against my understanding of how RF works
sure it’s probably harder to track but especially multi frequency radar should be blinding a Radio Receiver
Will we get a dev blog today? I have researched every USSR vehicle and I want new things.
There are no modern RWR exist that can distinguish AESA signal from background noise. Maybe something huge on ground vehicles or ships but on a fighter jets? No for sure to my knowing
The principle behind stealth is you send hundreds of small pulses on different frequencies and you just can’t see them in a sea of background noise around you because of how radio is overused in the world.
AESA know how to catch return signal back because it knows the exact sequence to search for, but for others you need to hack that sequence continuosly in real time which is straight up impossible
I could see the effects being minimized but removed completely? Seems unlikely…
I think it’s more there’s multiple signals coming from the radar at different frequencies instead of one strong signal. So an RWR just filters that out, thinking it’s background noise from other sources.
yea so this is a pure software thing that only was true for 1990s RWRs
I added a bit of explanation to my message, it’s not just for 90s RWRs but for RWRs in general
Until they adopt very powerful AI into fighter jets or something like that I don’t think it will be possible. Though even with AI it will be hard
the “strength” of any given signal is what essentially decides how far you can recieve it so unless AESA Radars have a Drastically lower range than regular Mechanical ones the signals should be just as strong, they should just be more
i hope that they add the Python-4 this upcoming update it would be amazing to have our own first 4 gen IRCCM missile in the game, maybe smin have some news about this @Smin1080p
There are different strenghts of different background radio signals so it doesn’t really help
part 4 before the update?
As long as it’s not 8 like with F-15 patch I am fine with it lol
