yep both missiles the AAM-3 and the Python-4 IRL shares a similar IRCCM metod.

the “strength” of any given signal is what essentially decides how far you can recieve it so unless AESA Radars have a Drastically lower range than regular Mechanical ones the signals should be just as strong, they should just be more

I’m not particularly versed in it, but my basic understanding is the RWR is looking for specific signals and AESA ones kind of mask theirs by looking like background radiation because it’s not one of the specific signals the RWR was expecting. Something like that.

I added a bit of explanation to my message, it’s not just for 90s RWRs but for RWRs in general
Until they adopt very powerful AI into fighter jets or something like that I don’t think it will be possible. Though even with AI it will be hard

I feel like they probably already do, and gameplay wise we should assume so. I don’t think it would be fun gameplay to have a silent RWR once most planes run AESA.

It’s a game first, we can make assumptions and just go from there. Otherwise we just accept AESA isn’t coming to the game.

probably, taking in count that the main missile for air to air its going to be the ARH missiles, i can see them adding new IR ones to bring some new options to the table like they did with the ARH ones for all nations.
