For the Gripen, you are right it doesnt overly matter. Same for the F4F-ICE if it gets Aim-9M instead of Aim-9Li.
though historical accuracy is kinda the point of War Thunder. So getting it right would be nice.
But from a balance point of view. It raises other questions. For example. If Sweden cant get Aim-9M despite never buying or equipping Aim-9M onto their airframes. Though intergration was possible due to other nations doing so (Hungary iirc). Then could germany and italy get PGMs on their Tornado IDS? Could Britain get ATAS for our Apaches. Etc etc.
Its a question well worth answering and having a solid answer for.

Well they only JUST added AIM-9P-4s so I doubt we’ll get L-i’s anytime soon

Honestly I dont see the point of IRCCM. Recent experience with Aim-9M and Magic IIs. They feel like they ahve the same flare resistance as an SRAAM. They go for flares 100% of the time, in any aspect. even rear and target on AB

Its so dependent on the player fired at honestly I fire a lot of 9Ms that get flared but I fire A LOT of Magics that dont get flared IRCCM is so luck based its funny
