The viggens were to receive pylon upgrades to mount them iirc but by them time they were ready to do so the later gripens seemed like the better choice unfortunately they ended up using Iris-T instead as they were more modern. Gonna be a bitch to find the info for it since thats somewhere i look last lol

They got it and used it with the Gripen as it couldn’t of been used for anything else

Yeah if they then used a plane that never used RB74 that point would be valid but it isn’t
Yeah they just kept them and didn’t use on the Gripen
Imagine arguing over what sweden used when they have a T-80 and an Mi-28
