If they don’t go with XF-2A or F-2 early, which honestly I’d personally argue is completely fine and plausible to include now (especially before the ARH party), the only other aircraft which fits the description would be the Thai F-16A, assuming they’re giving Thailand to Japan.
This Thai F-16A would be a better AJ in the sense that it has Mavs and GBUs with a targeting pod on both inner pylons (currently AJ only has dumb bombs on the inner pylon). It would honestly be a good addition for top tier CAS though not by much.
Also to add, the Chinese guy also does make corrections. For example, part of his December update list:

And was in a span of 4 days (original on November 24th, correction on November 28th). It has been 2.5 weeks since the current leak and not correction from the guy so either he’s right or confidently incorrect lol.

Interesting read m8 I say too the Thailand F-16 would be the best addition I just hope they will change the AJ into a more limited A model from Thailand

Ideally if a Thai F-16 does come, they just replace it and make the AJ like the Maus.
Though I’m not going to lie, I’d rather they replace the AJ with the XF-2A at 12.3 BR, move the F-15J to 12.7 BR and call it a day. I can wait till F-2 Late at like 13.3+ BR for L-JDAMs.
Though technically an F-2 early has regular JDAMs, but they’d just be fire and forget by locking the ground instead of an actual moving target.

If it is a Thai F-16, there are 3 variants that might be implemented differently:

F-16A OCU solely to replace the AJ, trading better CAS for losing BVR missiles.

F-16A ADF, directly copied over from the ones already in game to offer a non F-15 fox 3 carrier for Japan. This would be a “low effort” option for Gaijin, done to just have something if they see 8 AMRAAMs on an F-15 as to much to start.

F-16A MLU, essentially combining the previous two options. This one improves CAS like the OCU and likely still serves to replace the AJ. Only that this time it can also carry fox 3 missiles, which can either be added directly if it is the fox 3 update, or just prepare the tree for fox 3 in the next major update.

I like the French one more because it has mostly black and green colors instead of German one which mostly has brown.

Begrudgingly happy, but also disapproving because not F-2 airframe. Seriously, it could be copy paste AJ and I’d be happy, I just want the airframe so much because it looks COOL
I feel like the 3rd option is the only one worth while here. I do hope it gets 9Ms or something with IRCCM. Also drogue chutes and TWS would be a plus.
Without Mavericks or similar F&F missiles any CAS plane is pointless with current strength of Pantsir AA system. Low alt attacks with bombs or rockets only work on few maps with terrain cover and GBUs simply can’t be used in the face of Pantsirs.
Is there any way to get a Mav slinger for Germany? Or can’t Mavericks be fitted on Tornados? I’ve seen them on a Panavia brochure as loadout option.
Not only Thailand F-16s can have better CAS at top tier but for high tier they also used the A-7E too.
I don’t know what else they used beyond this.

iirc for high / top tier there are F-16A OCU4, T-50TH, Gripen C/D, F-5A/B/E/F, F-5TH and A-7E, but there are also AV-8S, A-37B (/OA-37B), F-86L, Alpha Jet A, L-39 and F-84G
(I could also go into modifications that Thailand has made on some of their stuff, but that would go completely beyond the scope, but a good example would be that their Alpha Jet can carry 4x AIM-9P (if that wasn’t possible before))
