Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

If they weren’t modified by East Germany, then they shouldn’t be added.

They should only be added if they are unique or fill a gap because the PT-76 isn’t unique but would fill Germanys light tank gap.

Germany has options at every BR. Foreign vehicles are not needed.

And they would have more options with the inclusion of East German equipment (which is already in the Germany TT and was given to germany after reunification with the exception of one S-300PMU). I’m not saying every East German vehicle should be added but there should definitely be more than 2.

They should only be added if they fill a gap that cannot be filled by a Germany vehicle, and there is no gap in the Germany tree that cannot be filled by one, so, in other words, none should be added.

What about a LAV III to the UK

The original Canadian versions of all LAVs should indeed go the UK.

Cougar* would be better than say Scorpion, (Uses the same turret but on the LAV style hull)

Well maybe we will see that
Im just trying to guess what commonwealth vehicle they are gonna add

Why do they have to fill gaps though? I would understand them only filling gaps if they were any other nation, but they aren’t; they are East German, which, whether you like it or not, is still German. To ignore 50% of German history for 40 years seems pretty wrong, especially if the reason is that they don’t fill a gap.

No, they are not East German. They are Soviet.

I guess Germany shouldn’t have gotten west German M41s or the M48A2 C sense they are American.

It’s a modified T-80UM technically, from what I’ve read. I guess if you throw an Arena APS on top, with the Arena arrangement for the Kontakt-5 on the turret, it would actually become the T-80UM-1 “Bars”. Unless the T-80UK has that hydrostatic transmission, in theory it should handle better than the UK or the U. All of the T-80’s seem to have the same speeds forwards and back. Transversal speed/rate is not included for the tank itself, does someone have statistics on that? I ask because from the digging I did, I found that the hydrostatic transmission on the UE, UE-1, UM-1 Bars, and assumedly the UM-2, is as follows:

“The hydrostatic transmission is designed to considerably increase the tank’s maneuverability, speed, and the reliability of final drives. Thus, a 12 percent gain is obtained when the tank moves along a regular route at an average speed and a 33 percent gain is obtained in a single turning motion. The turning radius is controlled steplessly, due to which fact the number of gear shifts in the final drives has been reduced sharply. The tank’s run has become smoother and, consequently, the firing accuracy has increased.”

As long as it gets thermals, I guess it’s okay. Still doesn’t feel like 11.3 premium. It’s got to get 3BM60 at that rate, otherwise, what’s the point, just go grind/buy the T-80UK. I don’t think a 3BM60 on a BV hull is 11.7. It doesn’t have the BVM upgrade for Relikt. T-80-UE-1 seems perfect for a premium the more I think about it, tbh.

What would fill the gap for the M48?

Hi smin 👋

The M48A2CGA1.

Smin on this early?, must be a Devblog day…

Being so far ahead that it’s already 6pm for me makes it weird when people say it’s early.
